Hey Callisto
Thanks for your thoughts.
Inlaws really cant be in the same room....... mother in law doesnt even know that my other half is still in contact with her father..... and other half really doesnt want that to change (she has her reasons). I know it's going to cost more, but there really isnt a way around it unless we cut one of the in laws out..... and we really dont want that!
Hopefully, our guests wont mind missing the 'real' wedding....... I really hope so anyway0 -
Hi Weggy -
Sounds like a bit of a nightmare! Try this article - it is about humanist weddings, which may be of use:

Maybe you could do the second one as a humanist ceremony?
Good Luck!0 -
Sounds interesting! Will properly look into that over the weekend....
Thank you!0 -

Hi everyone
Can anyone recommend somewhere to get nice but cheap place cards for use on tables at reception?
I'm hoping to print direct onto card but wonder if you can get 'pre-scored' ones online (or cheaper shops like Stationary Box or The Works etc).
Thanks!

**Tesco have packs of 10 ivory place cards for £1.87, again the cheapest Ive found. Ive bought them a pack or two at a time whenever Ive been shopping so dont feel the pinch so much later in the year!**Debt Oct 2005: £32,692.94

I'd say check out their registry offices first...... normally the cheapest place to get married and some venues are really nice.

It says i need to live in england for 7 days and then give notice and wait 15 days but i live in scotland how do i do this?0 -
Sorry not a clue, didnt realise this applied to UK residents.
In fact, thinking about it, some English friends got married in Gretna last year...... they certainly didnt have to live in Scotland for 7 days! Surely the law in England isnt that much different these days?
Probably your best bet is to phone the registrar service in Devon and ask for their advice.0 -

Does seem a bit daft but that is what it says, have emailed them to ask. I am on holiday to devon in july for 2 weeks and wanted to do it then, wi it and see what they say. Thanks.0
