I don't know if anyone's thought about before, but we are saving clubcard vouchers like mad. Both have tesco clubcard credit cards which we are using for everything (especially wedding stuff) and of course paying off. We're planning on getting our wedding rings at Goldsmiths (mine, custom made, £1000 or £250 vouchers), watches for the boys as gifts (£100 watch for £25 of vouchers), jewellery for the girls. Virgin Holiday vouchers (up to £700 each off for £175 vouchers) plus all the little bits like candles, vases etc from Tesco Direct. With 15 months to go have nearly £200 of vouchers already.0

I got engaged 2 days ago so now venturing into planning my wedding! Eek! I know my family will be pushing for a big white wedding but am not willing to spend a fortune so this thread is a wonderful source! Am thrifty by nature but I do still want a beautiful day..saying that part of me just wants to run away and get it over with! I think the in-law's might kill me though if we do!
Has anyone bought their dress of ebay? Have seen a really pretty one from China but a bit wary incase it doesn't fit etc!
p.s. is it normal to burst into tears everytime I look at my engagement ring?I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D
Trying to find a work life balance...:rotfl:0 -

I bought my dress on ebay too - the RRP on it was £2k, I'd seen it in a magazine and fell in love with it. Almost the exact same one, by the same designer came up on ebay, brand new, and I bought it for £450 delivered :jNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -

They can sometimes be a bit slow on emails and then you have to be phrase things very clearly if you don't get the manager as English isn't their first language.
However, I can only go on my own experience and that was that they did a great job with my reception dress. Mine was a custom made dress and the quality was every bit as good as my other Amanda Wyatt dress.0 -
I have been reading this thread for 3 weeks and had to skip the middle, as it just so long.
I am planning my wedding for June 2011, how early do you have to start organising things? I havent done anything yet, as had a baby 10 weeks ago and have only just started to get organised with her so now starting to think about the wedding. xx0 -

Congratulations on the new baby!
If you're planning to have the wedding in June, you really would at the very least need to book the venue and the registrar now. June is peak wedding season and it's crazy how quickly places get snapped up if you're planning a wedding on the weekend. Good luck!0
