I'm getting married on Oct 20th this year. Everything is going great. Lovely church and then a big party. Found loads of bargains everywhere, including a fantastic italian designer dress for £40 on good old Ebay.
I'm making bath bombs at the mo for favours. (I'm not totally sure on the quantities of food colouring to use - so my guests and their baths could be dyed a bit pink for a while!)
I was just wondering if anyone knows where we could buy some cheap bubbly?
Big thanks to any help!
Just a thought - if I use brown food colouring, could I say it was fake tan?
Mumofthree - have you checked out the supermarket bargains bit on the site - I am sure they mention Lidl/Aldi as being good for a decent bottle of cheaper bubbly......Flugellover0 -

Had to pass this on to those searching for wedding shoes, although I apologise to all those who aren't a size 6! these look remarkably comfortable, and very pretty.

Why on earth would she do that! Did she book it originally as surely the caterer shouldnt have accepted just anybody cancelling it? If you contacted them would they reinstate the order?

-doing my own stationary (well - that will be the OH's job!)
-decorating my own shop bought cake
-doing the flowers with my aunt and mum (buying from wholesalers) only paying florist for the bouquets
-mum is making the b'maid dresses
-defo no wedding confetti on the table (sorry pet hate!)
-having reception in hotel just out of the town centre - much cheaper than others we viewed
-NO KILT or MORNING SUIT hire (my groom and father are both englishmen anyway, and my dad hated being 'trussed up like a chicken' in a morning suit at my sisters wedding!) - they will have nice suits they can use again.
Groom and I decided to splash out on a decent band tho.
First time at the bridal shop tomorrow trying on dresses - think I will leave the credit card at home in case I get silly! Any other tips anyone?Flugellover0 -

Where did you manage to get a venue for that price? We were quoted £2700 to hire a local B&B from Saturday morning until 12pm Sunday (just over 24hrs).
I'm struggling with venue ideas actually; the big hotels are FAR too expensive, and even places like B&Bs want thousands of pounds to hire their facilities for one day. All I want is a place with a nice room that I can decorate cheaply and bring in a cheap caterer. The local pubs and social clubs are a bit grubby, the only really decent places are the ones that have their own caterers etc and charge a fortune0
