Another vote for fake flowers - they're not going to wilt on me :rotfl:

Also means I can either keep them (if I'm being romantic) or sell them on (if I need the space :p)

  • If any of you are thinking of buying a dress from Ebay, then I would advise you to try and negotiate a Best Offer with the seller directly. I did that the other day after having been to a bridal shop, found the dress I liked and then luckily found the dress in my size, colour, new on Ebay.

The dress retails at £750 in some stores and this seller was selling it at a starting price of £499 + £20 P & P due to renovating her bridal shop. I negotiated a Best Offer price of £420 in the end including postage and I also bought some bridal shoes off her which retail at £50 but I got them for a tenner and because she is sending them with the dress, she didn't charge me any extra P & P. It arrives on Friday! Fingers crossed.

Just goes to show that if you ask, you just might get!

  • Hi
I'm a journalist. I write for the Daily Telegraph. I'm writing an article for the Money section on moneysaving weddings and I'm looking for someone who has got married (it doesn't have to be especially recently) or is getting married soon, and used some interesting cash-saving ideas. It would mean a 20-minute chat on the phone plus us using one of your photos. I'll credit this site (presuming you want me to). If you're interested, please drop me a line at gareth_rubin@yahoo.co.uk. Thanks.
