The blurb and FAQs are not entirely clear but it looks as if a free account will continue. However, is this likely to be the end of 1TB free storage? .....
Victor_Delta's concern, or prediction, was spot on. Flickr members (and I'm one) will just have received notice that the 1TB free storage option is being withdrawn.
Members have to shift to a paid service ("Pro") if they want "unlimited" storage. Those who don't will be allowed to store only 1000 photos. Anyone who has photos on Flickr over that limit in Jan 2019 won't be able to upload any more; and any pics over the limit from Feb 2019 will be deleted.
This is a serious blow for Flickr users. Some will simply look for cloud-based storage options. But for those who value and enjoy a photo-sharing community as well as adequate storage space, there seem to be few alternatives.
Any suggestions for free alternatives to Flickr which offer reasonably generous storage - and ideally, no compression of images - would be welcome.0 -
Hi
I'm looking for a cloud based storage solution for pictures taken on my upcoming RTW trip-4 months worth of photos.
Any recommendations?

What's wrong with Google photos app
I use it on my iPad with an SD card adapter to back up to it
I'm using a Digital camera and maybe the Samsung s7 Edge for photos.
I will have an SD card for the camera but as a backup I would like to store the photos where they cannot be lost
I was hoping I could just upload the photos from the phone to a cloud based solution.
Don't want to carry more adapters\stuff than necessary.
