What is it with paint colour names? I've never seen a magnolia flower in any colour remotely like the magnolia paint, let alone Mouse's Back!
Dulux Endurance magnolia is more correctly entitled "vomit yellow", whereas aren't magnolia flowers off white? F&B colours do have stupid names, I guess it is marketing genius.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -

Strange, after renting a bland, boring, safe flat the last thing I'd want is to buy something similar.Solar install June 2022, Bath

Odd because most houses I saw that had non magnolia or cream walls looked awful in my opinion. Clearly the owners loved them, but they were too personal. I think people can judge the quality of carpets, kitchen and bathroom for themselves, without having to rely on the colour of the walls as a guide. The idea that magnolia walls means they think the kitchen is cheap is nonsense. With magnolia, cream or pale brown walls, you can add colour with rugs, curtains, chairs and so on. Or you can add a feature wall to suit you. But you can't compensate for an oppressive and dominating wall colour such as dark chocolate. Some people nearby showed me round their house. We were bidding against each other. They proudly showed me a chocolate walled room. I thought is was awful. With a 'bland' colour you can say 'I can live with that until I get round to painting it my colour'. But with a personal colour, it is harder to shut out because it hits you in the face.
I certainly noticed cheap fittings. I saw one house, and they'd been told by the estate agent to fit a cheap bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom was tidy, fine. But the kitchen looked cheap, so I factored in the cost of another refit.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
