Well I've just minced the grass - for the first time ever!
Normally it is DH's domain, but he hasn't done it in at least 4 weeks and it looked awful! The green wheely bin (garden waste only) was empty when I started and it is now FULL!
DD1 commented that her dad would be less than impressed because the stripes aren't straight... I replied that I was surprised not to discover David Attenborough hiding in the undergrowth..and if her dad wants stripes then he can make sure he mows it regularly!
This is supposed to be the lat day of the hot weather, so being a good flylady I have washed the curtains and the windows in the girls' room and all the dressing gowns, in addition to yesterday's cricket kit and the rest of the washing...
Off for a cuppa now...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
This Flying lark's brilliant! After seven weeks of pecking away at the kitchen, I can finally say it has been spring-cleaned top to bottom. Hurrah! In addition, the main bedroom has been redecorated and spring-cleaned this week, and the carpet has been spot-cleaned, so I'm a happy bunny all round.
I'll give the three rooms that have to be done by tomorrow evening a swish and swipe - tomorrow.Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon all
Washing and mass pruning have been the name of the game today.
BBQ at lunchtime so no need to do much for dinner.
one trip to the dump done, may do another when I take DS2 to the cinema in a bit and hope to pick some blackberries with DS3 on the way back. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Hi there Witchwoopiggy
Greetiings from another (fairly new) flylady, and I live in a bungalow as well, so double greetings! I'm getting the hang of this flying now, and am slowly getting rid of clutter (I have, however, just seen my OH take an old, dirty, torn, manky, horrible - you name it - left-handed gardening glove out of the bin and put it back in the 'gardening' box!). What the heck ......!!!!! When I asked what he'd done that for he said "we are short of left-hand ones'!!!!!!!!!
Done loads again today and now are ready for our guests. Got last of gardening done and new plants potted. Meal and pudding in oven and sat with cuppa.
Got to go, friend on phone! Good vibes all round, R x0 -
been to work planning with new colleague...on a Sunday.
*glows with virtue*
pegged out washing before I went so that's dry and have
*fling*
got rid of a big thing - the old DR table has finally gone to my nieces. Been waiting to give it to her since February so I think a big fling is justified :rotfl:

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
thank you for the welcome rowan tree
glad to hear there are others with bungalows who need help
i thought being a smaller place it would be easy...yea easy to sit on your bum doing hobbies not housework lol
Well the bathroom is shiny , so shiny i have to keep going to have a peep lol and i have cleaned the porch, all shoes on rack , hovered and doorsteep washed so at least when i open the door to the postman it looks nice
I have made the bed and im about to do the washing up. Then sit down i think the shock is getting to me i need coffee0 -
Thank you all who have given advice and GWSs re my recently diagnosed anaemia. It's amazed me how prevalent it is - among my colleagues at work, and among you lovely ladies. Is it a hidden epidemic?
My Gran had pernicious anaemia and had to have an injection every three months - is that hereditary at all? how do the doctors know what sort of anaemia you have?
Luckily I'd already arranged to have the next week and a bit as Annual Leave, so we'll see what my energy levels are like by the 18th, when I'm due to go back.
As for flying - I've had a think and decided I can do little tiny baby steps such as a five minute fling during the adverts breaks, or sorting all the paper clutter which is everywhere and can be sorted in short sat down sessions.
I just need to be sensible and go with the flow.
I'll be heading into pigpen land this week to get my DS settled into his student digs ready for the new semester - I'll give you a wave
Oh and can I just add that I received a bird bath for the garden for my birthday last weekend - just what I asked for AND I've had my first visitor to it today. Freddie Fatbelly (woodpigeon) came for a drink. I love my birds.
Here's to a superb week for us all xxIT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme0 -
Sunday night - kitchen and sunroom painted - bed stripped, sheets washed and just ironed. Not bad for a weekend!!
Wrecked now - Chinese and glass of wine once i have made the bed!!!
Can't wait to see what we are doing tomorrow!!!0 -
