It's taken me about 3 hours to do it, including taking and downloading photos and taking a short break to watch Oscar Pistorius win gold in the T44 400m - but at last I have succeeded in setting up my very first eBay listing.
    :)

I hope that it won't take me so long next time!

Morning all. I'm waiting for the water to warm up to have a bath but me thinks the boiler might be playing up. Will check in a mo. Anyway this is my list for today.

    Gym
    Eat
Bath (or shower if the boiler is being bad)
    Walk dogs
Wash up (one side has completely disappeared in the kitchen as I couldn't be bothered last night)
    Vacuum/sweep right through the house
Cut grass back and front, and a little bit of weeding if the mood takes me

Will update later. Now to check the boiler.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Morning all

Did all the ironing last night, not enjoying having to do shirts for DS2 for school along with his work shirts (he was in polo shirts at his old school).

Main plan for the day is bits in the garden, kids homework and possibly dusting kids BRs also must do some governor paperwork before another meeting with the Head in the morning.

    Pixie have a great birthday

Valli good luck for DS, which course does he want to do?

    Morning flyladies

In my last post (Weds) I mentioned that I was having a blood test on Thursday to rule out thyroid/diabetes as the cause of my peri-menopausal symptoms....oooer  gave said blood and was summoned back to the surgery pronto as my blood count is 'alarmingly low', 'worryingly so'.:eek: not really the sort of phone call you want to receive in a lay-by on a busy road as you are driving into work next day....I'd switched my phone off when I went into the doctor's surgery and forgot to switch it back on after I left :o ooops

Turns out normal is 12; they start to worry if it drops to 10; and mine came in at 7.9 :eek::eek: according to google anything under 8 is potentially life-threatening. It can't be that bad though as I wasn't whipped in for a blood transfusion :D just given iron tablets & go back in a month, if levels aren't rising pathological explorations will begin :eek::eek::eek: (As i thought you had to be dead to have anything 'pathological' done I went very quiet at that stage....wrong :) you can still be alive...phew!!!)

So it's not BD, and it's not peri-meno, it's 'I'm running on fumes'...doc was surprised I was walking about he said :A

So I reckon that once this is sorted I'll get my GUAG back and I'll be ABLE TO FLY woop woop. I'm not a lazy fat moo, I'm a poorly fat moo. For months life has been all work/sleep/eat/work etc while the house degenerated around me, and despite every good intention it's just got worser and worser, as I simply haven't had the energy to do anything :(

I am sooo relieved at getting a diagnosis which is put rightable and I'm going to get my life back woop woop :T:T

And then the flylady bus is coming to Tuit-land for :coffee: and:bdaycake: oh wouldn't that be grand :j:j

Sorry this has nothing whatsoever to do with flying, and everything to do with why I haven't flown...but I know that flylady works and I'm actually excited at the thought of it all coming together again :T

Mega-Tuit hugs to all and sundry from a very relieved Roundtuit. xoxoxo

Hi everyone. Couldn't post yesterday as I was so busy in the day, then OH fitted a new router in the eve, and we were offline for a while whilst he sorted it (a few technical problems!).

We were very busy again yesterday and did two hours cleaning, changing bed linen, cleaning couches and corners, hoovered & mopped through, plus five hours gardening! I was SO tired I couldn't even lift up my feet in the shower to put gel on them!! But - the place looks lovely and is ready for our guests. Today we do a shop, then the 'nice' things; buy a few new plants for the outdoor pots and one or two treats for us. OH will mow the grass this aft, as rain is due tomorrow again, then we will chill.

We have really worked our socks off, but this means that the place will be clean for when we go on hols (Fri) and we should only have to do the basics to leave it tidy. Flylady really works!

Just a couple of messages - Helen, I've been there, no money, no treats, and it's miserable - but - I guess I'm older than you, and I've learned that things are often not as they seem. Those folk that always seem to be going out aren't happy being in together, or are just using credit cards to pay for outings they can't really afford. I've done things like a Spanish or French meal for friends, when I've been short of cash, and provided mainly snacks that didn't cost too much and made cards, with the Spanish (or whatever language) names on for food, places of interest etc, got kiddies to make hats, flags etc out if cheap crepe paper, and folk have loved that. Or try orienteering - you can download maps, and it's great fun and you often see things you wouldn't have seen in a park or where-ever. I'm lucky that I've now paid off my debts, but I still watch the pennies and still do both of these. But I do know how hard it is, and I hope things change for you soon.

Roundtuit - I was recalled to the docs like you a 'don't worry but we've made you an appointment for first thing tomorrow' call!! - and was told exactly the same thing, my doc actually saidhe wondered how I was still standing and not in bed (!) but explained that he thought my body had adapted slowly to lack of iron, so that I didn't show as many symptoms as normal. I was given iron pills and was ok! Good luck and I do hope you soon feel much better.

Warm wishes to everyone and good health vibes to all those under the weather, R x
