Sainsbury's have RED DB7 DAB radios for £49.99. Got mine last week and really pleased with it. Good looking, retro style and very good sound quality. It also got a good review in "what hi-fi?" magazine.

Something a little different, Goodmans DAB micro hi-fi, small enough to be bedside clock radio, £89.99 ARGOS. Excellent sound for a bargain price, I bought one last week when it was £79.99!!

Argos had the Acoustic Solutions SP111 Hi Fi Separate for £89.99 (RRP £129.99) which I couldn't find cheaper on the web.

To start it off, Inest.co.uk has a Goodmans for £45 plus postage here.

Purchased one of these GOODMANS from Richer Sounds for £54.99, with there price match and £5 off scheme.

It is a good radio but when used with electricity the display stays on, and I listen in my bedroom in the dark, but the brightness of the display illuminates the room. Beware!!!!

Does anyone know of a DAB radio with a CD player built in too. Don't want a micro system, just one unit for the kitchen that's not too expensive?
    TIA

Comet had one for £79, I think, with CD, and detachable speakers etc. My local one had a managers special at £49, but I think that was a shop soiled one off. Worth a look at your local one....
Just as a side issue.. Does DAB pick up all those stations that are available on SKY for example? Say If I wanted to listen to a European Christian station, would it be avaialble?

I would personally recommend the Goodmans 1104 DAB. i already have a Cambridge Audio DAB500 downstairs and wanted a small/micro DAB + CD for the bedroom and its brilliant. It was down to £89 at xmas with comet and index online but maybe back up to £99 but hunt around. It got 5 out of 5 in What HI-Fi and was an award winner in their yearly round up for budget DAB. small, stylish, remote control, alarm clock, timer to turn off - everything you need!

actually just searched and its here for 86.98 icl p&P

No. Nor can you pick up a local radio station broadcasting in the North of England anywhere else other than within that region. I personally think they have missed a trick with this one. Best source of info is http://www.ukdigitalradio.com/home/default.asp

They also produce a quarterly magazine which is free to subscribe to.
