Jerry, no need to stress out. Since you're moving to full LLU from BT based broadband & tel line, talktalk will sort out everything. As talktalk weren't too keen to help you when you offered the MAC to them, then forget about it. Believe me, talktalk WILL get in touch with you if they need a MAC...but they won't as a MAC isn't required when moving to full LLU.
For billing purposes you just need to make sure that both BT and Sky are aware that you're leaving their tel and broadband service. But as Sky have already issued the MAC (standard procedure for many BTw ISPs, irrespective of whether the customer wants to move to another BTw isp or LLU operator) then Sky are aware. Just make sure the same applies to BT as well.If you don't use the MAC BT OpenReach will charge you £30 for the disconnection. The MAC enables them to pass the charge onto your new ISP.
Sorry, but this is not true. BT openreach disconnection charge only applies when your isp puts a broadband cease on the line...transferring to a LLU supplier is not classed as a cease. Nevertheless some isp's will still charge you £30 when moving to LLu and you should vigorously dispute this..this is illegal and if your isp isn't willing to budge then lodge a complaint with the Obudsman (Otelo?). My BTw isp (Goscomb) did NOT charge me any disconnection fee when moving to full LLU talktalk.0 -
