Then everything is fine, it cannot possibly affect your insurance. You can put a badge on it saying it's a V8 5 litre twin-turbo GTI if you so wish!
Insurance companies do whatever they can to refuse pay out, I'd put the correct badge on if it was my car. Can also cause confusion at MOT time.0 -
