Nationwide Flexclusive Regular Saver

Should probably start a new thread but will ask here anyway.... Couple of quick q's:
1. DH and I have single flex accounts plus a joint one. We've opened flexclusive reg savers each. Can we open another in our joint names?
2. What happens if I put in more than the £250pm?0 -
So I've upgraded to the blue debit card and I've paid in more than£750/month in each of the last 3 months, from LTSB.
Been on the phone to Nationwide to see why they're ignoring my applications for a Flexclusive Regular Saver. Apparently they're refusing to class my Flexaccount as a "prime" account because they don't see an actual wage going in.
She insisted that this was the rule, and it's on the website, which it's not, and it's the same for everybody, which it's not.
What a load of rubbish.
Don't quite see the way past this brick wall though. Wondering how much patience I've got left with this shower."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
I had my salary paid into Nationwide for many years but have not done so for nearly two. I do move at least £1000 through the account each month and have been given the Select Platinum credit card and had no trouble getting the Flexclusive Regular Savings account. As you say the Ts&Cs do not require that the deposits must come from salary.

All that counts are the T&Cs and they don't mention salary - - for very good reason.
Many people don't have a salary (me included) and still are eligible for those Flexclusives.
Try ringing again, or pop into a Branch.0 -

Was told that a "P Marker" stands for "Prime Customer" needs to be added to the account profile before the flexclusives take effect. Will try Gromitt's suggestion if I get nowhere on Monday when I try to open up a Loyalty saver account in branch.0

As I understand it there is a £250 limit per month to pay into this account. Does anyone know what happens if more than £250 is accidentally paid into the account in one month?0

From what i've read about this on other threads it will 'reject' the amount over the £250.Back on the trains again!0
