I have a joint flex account with my husband - can we both open Flex exclusive regular savers? Can't work it out from the t&c.

Only if you both also have a sole FlexAccount in addition to the joint, and place the required £750/month into each account.

    Yes you can.

You both have to go into the branch and fill out some simple paperwork and the branch open it for you.

(or one of you pick up the forms, get the OH to fill out and sign, then drop them back to the branch.)

You cannot open them on-line,otherwise they become Joint Flexcusives.

We have a joint Flex account and have just done this.

Just be aware this is still a "new" product and not all the Nationwide staff know what they can or can't do.

Initially my branch was not helpful at all.

And when you think about it a couple being able to open a sole account each (ie effectively save £500 @6% per month per couple) is actually no different than each person opening a Joint account.

Unless I'm missing something here

I don't really mind whether it is separate accounts or joint, we just want to save £500 per month

The second and third quote above are completely wrong.

If you have a joint FlexAccount, you can either go into branch or call Nationwide on 0800 302010 and set up two individual Flexclusive Regular Savers.

What you cannot do is open them online.

    Not my experience.
Has anyone with a single joint account successfully opened two of these accounts?
