  • Welcome muddled_midget! :)

    & Well done ruby_eskimo and Fiasco55... that's a great turning point.
I think I'm going to commit myself to not buying anything until the end of October when I have a trip to Paris and will hit City Pharma for a planned splurge

kiplingmonkey, I was using a face wash at 11. I'd say better to use C&P rather than any of the harsh drugstore brands. Does she use anything at all at the moment?

I've been going through my tens of thousands (literally) of emails. I've come across the order acknowledgement for my Dermalogica set that I've just started using recently. I bought it 2 years ago! It did work out at a good price though - I had a Groupon voucher that cost £4 for £15 off. I paid £7.60 including postage so £11.60 altogether.

The silly thing is that even if I loved the products and could afford the regular prices they have actually changed most of them so I couldn't buy them again anyway. I'll remind myself of that the next time I want to buy something that I already have a stash of.

  • I keep meaning to ask, when did your daughter start on a skin care routine? My eldest will be 11 next month and is getting a few spots so I am wondering whether to get her going with c&p. Do people think that is too soon - any thoughts/advice would be most welcome.

c&p will be the best thing for her, those other clearasil etc ones are so strong. if i were you, get her the young skin try me kit with the minis in. then if she doesn't like it or forgets to use it, you've only spent a bit of money and not loads.

Thanks - will get her started on c&p - I have some minis so might put together a kit with a LE bag for her birthday. She already uses the skin repair if her skin feels tight after showering. I started with Boots evening primrose cleanser and toner but remember it did sting - mind you back then I didn't know any different and my Mum used soap and water to wash her face with .
  • 2 UU to report - a deodorant and a shower gel. Shower gel is Johnson's mango and peach - really nice and got it when Superdrug was buy 1 get 2 free. If they do that again i will get more. Onto the peach and white tea one now.

    Hi ladies!

Scrappie...top stuff about your mum! :D

Did I mention that I picked up a bottle of rose water to act as a toner for when the tiny amount of my existing one runs out in a few days? No? Well I have now...and I'm not counting it as an in as I really need it.

Other than that, it's all the same as usual here: I'm at that maddening mid point with most of my toietries/cosmetics, hence not being here much. From what you have all been saying about the Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap, I really wish I had ordered that instead of the plain stuff, but I couldn't justify it in my big organic toiletries/cleaning products plan. Definitely next time! :D

  • Morning everyone, beginning of another week. Feel far from refreshed. Hardly slept last night because I was worrying about work today. Just got to keep calm and positive and I know it will all be ok.

Don't have any UU to report but I have hit pan on yet another eye shadow! It's Urban Decay Toasted and has been holding on for a while now. Might post a picture tonight of all the makeup things I've hit pan on at the moment. Just wish I knew what had happened to my Mac Studio Careblend pressed powder...it's gone walkies in my flat somewhere, I'd hit pan on it, and I've almost run out of my other powder. Don't really want to go and buy something when I know there is another powder around here somewhere!
