  • Hello all - as this is the last day of September here is the new thread to get us going for October:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/56200461#Comment_56200461

Managed to end up with a minus at the end of September which I am pleased about. Aiming for Amarya and possibly the LE on the Q as my only INs this month. Aiming for another minus at the end of the month.

    Happy pampering:D
  • Wilko's have Palmolive Naturals Delicate Care Shower Milk, 250 ml olive and almond variants, for 50p... I've never seen this product before. However the almond one smelled lovely so into the trolley it went. I was in a bit of a hurry, so didn't smell the olive one. Apart from this minor blip, nothing to report.

I do agree that the Dirty Works body butter smells fab, it has got a strong scent though, I've just used it as a hand and foot cream. Well, a foot cream really, my 'hand creams' are everything that I rub in on face, body and feet. Including Argan Oil, that stuff is magic wherever it's applied.

A few years ago I noticed that my hands were ageing faster than my face, and failing the 'pinch test' (Pinch the skin on the back of your hand, if it stays in a peak, skin and/or body are dehydrated, but this is also a natural part of the ageing process to some degree.) The process has been reversed. Skin now springs instantly back.

My job helps, I don't work out of doors and I don't have to wash frequently. I think of my Mum's hands, which were red and rough through housework, much gardening and working as a nurse in the days of industrial strength disinfectants.

It's definitely down to this thread making me focus on using up products and keeping my skin in good nick.

Good luck with the new job Val! SuiDreams hope you are OK, is it that sore throat bug that seems to be doing the rounds? Thanks for starting the new thread, Kiplingmonkey. I shall be joining!

Still no UUs in that case there'll be loads in October :) then since I've cut the ends off some items.
This is another No Spend month :A :T for me, so August and September I've not purchased anything! I'm quite impressed!
I'll be back following the October thread and hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.:p

  • Well ladies I'm back from my cruise with a few UU's and a stinking cold but hey ho - onward and upward I say;)

My UU's whilst away are as follows:-

    1. Time Delay serum - WMBA - onto a Botanics one now that DS2 got me.
    2. Herbal Essences 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner - WNBA - the shower gel provided in the cabin was awful and as I hadn't taken one with me I ended up using this all over!!! My hair is soo fine that I cannot condition too often as it makes it extremely greasy!!
    3. Clarins Santal oil - WBA - after all oil stocks exhausted - Have moved onto an NSPA one and also have a Botanics one in the stash for after that!!
    4. REN Hydra calm protection day cream (from magazine) - WMBA - the cost would be the issue with this one although my skin LOVED it
    5. Mr B No7 factor 30 lip & eye balm - WDBA but don't need to as I have another one in my stash.
    6. Aldi ginger shower gel (it's DS2's and he left it here when he went to uni 3 years ago) - it's now in the hand wash dispenser as it's lost most of it's perfume (and anything that goes in there is classed as a UU):D:D

I'm sure there were other things too but they escape me at the minute:o I feel like I'm finally getting to the place where I can face doing a stash list.....but then again:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    My only in:-

Clinique moisture surge - got this as a magazine sample early last year and my skin loves in after a day in the sun and it was requires as I'd run out of santal oil ;)

As it was our first cruise I was a little worried about what to expect but I have to say - we loved it!!! Can't wait to do another now:j:j

    Have great day everyone

    bunnykins xx

Thank you for the lovely comments still feeling really rough, for the lastfew days I've had a dreadful sore throat and earache, plus feeling exhausted, to add to that started coughing and sneezing yesterday. If I'd been feeling better I would have managed a few more UU. Here are the ones i haven't listed.

    No.7 Quick Thinking Wipes 30
Clinique Long last gloss wear spf 15 - Air kiss 2.3ml

    Totals for the month are 41 out (39 uu and 2 GA) and 40 in ( Freebie 15 / magazine freebie 0 /gwp 2 / beauty box 7 / bought 7 / gifted 9).

Going to try and get some more rest will catch up when feeling better.

Some in's to declare I'm afraid!

3x Champneys Thai Royale Body Polish, got a great deal on these in Boots, reduced to £2.50, on 3for2 and a 400pts coupon - effectively £1.

Beauticology Gingerbread/fudge/chocolate bath set - part of the Boots xmas range, £4. A big Philosophy rip off but I thought I'd give it a shot.

No7 wipes, No7 eyeliner and No7 nail polish in a berry colour (on trend apparently).

Dirty Works Body Butter sample, smells pretty good

Ooh I saw the gingerbread set, looks nice, let us know what its like!

Couple more UU for me, skin therapy moisurising body lotion (a fav and only 98P) and L'Occitane shea cream cream mini. I brought a set as a treat so still have more to use, love these
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
  • Used up:

Marcelle Lip Gloss stick in Raisin. Probably will buy again. I like this line. but the colour was more cinnamon than raisin if you know what I mean.

Pur Minerals Mascara. It's reached it's 3 month life span and is tossed. Will pull a mascara out of the stash.

Body Shop Love Etc body lotion (60mls). WNBA, nothing special. I'll finish it off at bedtime tonight.

Gave away the pallette I got in the Glossybox to Number One son's GF, she needed cheering up and in all honesty, it would have sat inthe stash forever.

There are a few things that will be used up quickly a the start of October but everything else is in huge bottles.

  • Hello everyone,

I have been meaning to post my UU all week but never got round to it, but now I get to finish September with 4 UU all at once!

Clinique Sparkle Skin body exfoliating cream, GWP size - WMBA, it has really tiny scrubby bits which don't dissolve away (unlike the BS lemon scrub I have moved onto) and had a bit of menthol in it so I felt quite clean after using it!

Clinique Rinse off foaming cleanser, GWP size - WNBA, I found this really drying but I'm not sure I've ever used a foaming cleanser that I liked, its hot cloth cleansers all the way once I've got rid of the stash.

Clinique High Impact mascara, GWP size - WBA, I quite liked this, much more than the high impact curling mascara which I found impossible to remove for about 3 days after

I have obviously bought far too many Clinique bonus time offers because I still have loads of GWP things kicking about :rotfl:

My most exciting UU is BS Honey Moisturising shampoo - WNBA (WN ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever BA!) I almost had to admit defeat with this and chuck it in the bin but I would hate to let a toiletry product get the better of me! It was a hideous shampoo for me, far too heavy and made my hair really greasy, I even tried not conditioning afterwards but it was no good. So I tried to finish this off as shaving cream but it was even too thick for that and clogged up my razor, so with much sadness I had to add water and double the volume that was left in the bottle and have been using it as shaving cream for the past year  I will do a little war dance round this when I throw the bottle in the recycling!

See everyone in October's thread (eek, how did October sneak up on me already!)
