  • 2 UU today, an origins charcoal scrub (WNBA - bought it by accident in the first place but decided to try it out) and nail polish remover. The stash is slowly decreasing but i still have plenty of things.

    UU this morning:

TreSemme dry shampoo. WNBA, didn't do anything at all!

I'd like some advice from you ladies! My mum turns 50 next month and as part of her present, I'd like to get her something nice toiletry-related. Feel Unique have 30% off Elemis today only and I thought this set looked nice:

She hasn't tried Elemis before and has normal-dry skin. Has anyone tried any of these products? She's not really a spa person so I thought she'd prefer products to use at home.

hey ladies so i have reached my use ups/give aways target of 400 for the year!!.looking through my list the only things i have bought were womanity gift set(half price) and an urban decay palette..okay so i dint need either but about 60 quid spend for the year is amazing.
use up no403-spell body lotion in vanilla sands-wba if they still made it!!i think i will look out a bottle of sanctuary stuff next to use up
i think my next use up will be a mascara and i have a voucher to get a no17 mascara for a £1 so think i will use that soon.well happy with my clearout, also stuck my makeup palettes on a shelf(out of direct sunlight) with the intention if i can see it i will use them more instead of the same colour everyday..

WELL DONE! :T That's amazing! :T When you start using up and realising how long it takes and how much you've got and how long it will take to use up the WHOLE LOT, it certainly puts a voluntary curb on the spending, doesn't it! :rotfl:
Congrats on the UUs - 400 for the year so far is amazing. I have just passed the 2000 UU from when I started my spreadsheets - wish I had been doing my £1 in the pot for every UU from the beginning - that would have been a great feeling! Still, doing pretty well so far this year - over £150 now in the kitty from all my UUs.

I'm doing pretty well on the challenge, but I have UU nowhere near as many products as you ladies. How have you managed it? Did you have large numbers of samples, or have you just given away the equivalent value of make-up to rival the GDP of a small country? I'm impressed and puzzled...:)

I am older than your mum and love Elemis, but I have not tried any of the things in this set, sorry cannot be of help.

Thank you maddiemay, I think I'll get her it as it's great value and I've heard such good things on this thread about Elemis. It doesn't say stuff like "anti-aging" or "wrinkles" which is the last think she'll want! (She's a bit in denial about turning 50!) I've resisted the temptation to add a second one to the basket for myself!

Does anyone have any non-toiletry suggestions for what to get her? She doesn't have many hobbies as such as she has 3 sons at home to look after (I'm at university in Scotland, whereas they're in NI) and she has a tonne of clothing already. I thought about a voucher for a fancy hair salon but she'd need to go for a patch test for a colour so it wouldn't be very convenient.

I am a bit younger than your Mum (46) and have 2 DDs (10 & 7) who I hope will be as thoughtful as you when they are older. I have tried the melting cleansing gel - I liked it but I know some of the forum-ites have an adverse reaction to it. The skin buff is lovely - I had an Elemis facial this year and the therapist used this on me. It is on my list of things to buy when I need more exfoliator. I have also used the daycream and it is nice (altho my HG is the Pro Collagen Marine Cream and the PC Oxyygenating Night Cream but these will not be good if you want to avoid anything about aging and wrinkles). This is a nice set too :

but then I am a total sucker for any set that comes with a bag...

Let's just say years of hoarding to rival a European butter mountain and move on.... LOL :rotfl:

Are you near a Champneys store? There is one near me and they sell vouchers for treatments like manicures etc. I think you can buy the vouchers and the recipient decides on the treatment they want to book as we bought someone as a leaving pressie from work.

Apols for the long post but UU no 2 of the month:

Liz Earle eyebright eye make up remover - another holiday splutterer UU. Nice but not as good as my HG floracil.

Off topic but have bought the Kipling bag on the Q...I did resist Elemis and LG in my defense. Going to the naughty step now...

I have decided that I am going for an absolutely no spend in September and October. There is no need for me to buy anything for years except for deodorant, so no excuses. Freebie INs are fine!

    Wish me luck! :rotfl:

Same here...I had tons of everything in the bathroom so had to move lots out to the bedroom to stop the bathroom looking like a shop :)

My shampoo seems to be lasting ages since I joined this thread. I think it is in a magic bottle that replaces the shampoo as I use it ...lol

Just realised I had a no spend August :A :jdidn't have many outs or UUs but I have lots of things which are still spluttering away. I have 3 shower gels open in the bathroom and they will all be finished fairly soon but like to vary what I use.

I did get a Boots No7 voucher today when I topped up my phone. They have changed it to 2 parts, 1 is for £5 off skincare, the other is £3 off accessories. I am not planning on using it though :A
