No 20 just updated - balance £120,622 - green because of endowment payout last year. no extra money going into mortgage at the moment as saving for family holiday in Florida, but normal monthly repayment continues to bring the balance back down by nearly £500 a month.
after holiday in the summer we should be back with extra payments of a minimum of £555 a month & ready for the hard slog of the second half of the challenge.
Good to see so many of you doing well, all of your updates keep me inspired

No. 21 here and I've just updated. Things are going really well and my total is now £47,700. It's great seeing the updates coming in and I hope you are all achieving your goals.
Thanks to FB, for all the hard work. I wouldn't be doing this well without this challenge.

Hello everyone - well done to all those who have updated, you all seem to be doing well or have the adjustments in hand. We have now paid over £32,000 off the mortgage since the challenge started - some in lumps and more recently, chipping away with a regular stretching monthly OP of £1100 since December 13.
I am hoping that finding some old policies my ex-bank sold me might result in a successful mis-selling lump sum which is also earmarked for this, but that is months away yet. We might just be green still with this upset (fingers crossed!).
All the best and continued thanks to FB (- whose new savings diary is worth a look if only to sit back and admire his diligence in getting best rates):T
SLSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Update logged the other day. I'm regretting not sticking with my low base rate tracker 3 years ago at the moment, it wouldn't have saved me huge amounts but i'm wishing i'd been a little more risky rather than going for the fixed amount every month safety option.
By my calculations I think i'm still a tiny amount shy so need to throw a bit more at it to get ahead of the curve or maybe i'll go for the longevity award of being so close but not over target lol
Also anyone who uses google drive & had the MFiT spreadsheet on their recent list, is it still there? its not on mine & I can't seem to get it back by opening the various pages of it from links in the thread, any ideas? Edit: got it back but don't ask me how.- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

It's nice to see this thread back on the first page, it had been wallowing on page 10 or so for far too long!
It's MFiT3's 5th reporting day on Wednesday, and other than the £828.48 standard payment on Monday there will be no more payments from us between now and then, so I can declare my figure early for once!
On the 12th March 2014, our (#47) remaining balance should be £59,285.33! :j
This is a fantastic milestone for us, our original MFiT3 target for end 2015 was 60kIt's nice to know our original target has been well and truly smashed
It's also a great feeling being at 50% LTV
Good work everyone, keep it going0 -
Just submitted our number
I'm hoping we're still in the green!

Google Chrome by any chance?
I had to phone as I can't get in, keeps saying there is technical issues. First time I've had bad service from Nationwide, the woman kept going on about putting in my customer number and using card reader but I was explaining that it didn't even get to that page, it had a problem as soon as I clicked 'Log In'. She wasn't getting it.
I tried Safari and it worked there, so try another browser first if you were doing it on Chrome.
#134 here, my balance on 12/03/14 will be £52,656.37. Thank you! :T
Thanks for that, I was using IE9 (have to use an older version for work reasons) and that was the problem. Tried it on Safari on my phone and works fine......how rubbish is that?!:mad:What goes around comes around.....I hope!0
