  • Hi,

Just a big thanks to FB for updating the latest chart (and a quick silly question - the column on the right - called - updated - it's no for everyone...is that right ?)

I am just thinking now I have three pay cheques left in which to save for this tax year (and towards my pensions saving target). Fingers crossed I can stick to the plan !

    FG
    MFiT-T4 Number 68
MFiT 4 Goal - Build up savings (SIPP, ISA etc.) to £250k . Current balance £174748 (1/8/16).
    Crazy goal - £500k by Jan 2026.

Exciting stuff; received a 'Projection of Flexible Payment Savings' from our mortgage provider today. It shows that based on current figures and assuming we continue overpaying as we are throughout the term, our original loan repayment date has changed from 1.9.2032 to 1.5.2028 with a projected interest saving of £6,458.37! Nice to see the figures confirming that we are heading in the right direction for what we were hoping to achieve! :T

  • financialbliss, I will be away from 1 to 16 March and can only give an update on my return. I have overpaid on the mortgage, but unfortunately my mortgage statement will arrive whilst I am away. I hope that it is OK if I submit my numbers a little late.

    Many thanks,

Just been looking at my accounts. Since the beginning of this year I have already reduced my mortgage by £2000. Quite excited about that! :D

Since Jan 2011 I have reduced my debt from £98'780 to £70'999. This is a difference of £27'781 - more than a years wage!

Looking forward to progressing with this challenge now and getting my mortgage under £70'000!

Nice reminder - thanks to all the early-birds.

I'm going to scrape together a few more pounds before I file my update for this quarter. Unfortunately the house buildings and contents bill has arrived and it's well over £1000 (the joys of living in a very old house of non-20th century build materials)
