    Hi everyone,

Sorry I went off the radar. I have sent my update form in showing that the balance is down to 90k. It still seems a lot but down from £160k it isnt so bad.

DH got the date wrong for his endowments so they dont cash out until the spring and then that will leave a balance of about £50k to find.

We have had a garage built this year (DH wouldn't wait) and a few nice holidays so we have not been as frugal as we should have been but we have been having more fun

I reckon adding money in the plus column rather than reducing the minus column will be just as rewarding next year. You've been a stalwart of this thread and previous similar ones with kind words and encouragement and we will miss you when you've gone.

    Good Luck

  • Here are my September figures (sent on form already)

£109268 with £947 in savings a/c ready for January as I have reached my overpayment limit for the year. I have set myself a target of £104k for the beginning of Jan when I can overpay again.

That then leaves me £8k to over pay to reach Dec 2015 target (£6k will be repaid by normal overpayments). It will be a stretch but it wouldn't be a target if it was too easy.

Thanks FB for all your work on this & good luck to my fellow MFW with their targets.

  • Hi all

Just sent my update via the form - submitted a balance of £42,903 which is a combination of the mortgage balance less the savings that I'm building up to repay against the mortgage.

Fingers crossed that I remain on track to get it down to £30k by the end of this challenge

Some great updates on here and wow to Black Taxi, that's brilliant and bet you can't wait to get to the end and start and build your savings; as someone else commented, i'm sure that will be just as satisfying

    Hope everyone is well

    Regards
