Just got the results of my first ever apg shop and it worked on the shampoo & ketchup :j:j:j

I allways read about others apg shops on here but don't go to asda often but I knew we were near one today so thought I'd take the plunge !

I had a good read through of everyones posts over the last 24hours so I knew what to get and what to avoid. Unfortunately there was no smart price conditioner left so got alberto balsam instead.

Thanks to all on here for posting these fab deals :A

    afternoon g&g's :)

had to go get the kids school shoes from Clarks...but went to the factory shop (so about 30% off)...and just nearby is a different As I've never been in ;) so felt obliged to pop in......but it was chaos! In my locals I know where everything is...it took me ages to find what I needed and they only had 1 sp conditioner, and no hairgel ((not even a space/sel) so had to get the alberto balsam!

Just a note to some of the newbies.....although it might seem exciting logging on here and seeing a glitch....unless you do a bit of legwork yourself, you might just have to leave it...spend some time getting to grips with the systems ie apg, pp, msm etc....and then wait for the next glitch to participate in.

I know that sounds unfair...and yes some of us on here will more readily help the regulars with info...but thats because the regulars dont require an hour long tutorial on what to do, and its likely at times that those regulars have given something back on here previously - so they're not just coming on to take take take.

If you read through some posts you see that many friends and family members expect it all handed on a plate - and how infuriating that can be at times - so why should it be any different to a newbie on here wanting it all done for them.

We all want to save money, and I'm happy to help others if I can....but I'm not going to spend ages writing out a step by step guide to how the glitch works, when in the same length of time, the newbie could search the thread (clue - this glitch started properly n Friday) and find out all they need to know.

We all have different lives to lead, and yes, some people might not have as much time as the next person to catch up on the thread...but thats life...just because you dont have the time or willpower to catch up or read back, doesnt entitle you to be given the information on a plate!

Sorry if that offends people, but every time theres a good glitch we seem inundated with newbies expecting all the details ...quite often without so much as a please or thanks x

That's a really well put and fair post :T I felt some of the earlier ones were very harsh (there are ways to say things as well as ways to ask) and then to see the usual 'well said' unneccesary comments at some of those harsh replies.... Well (deep breath) then those same people say what a lovely community it is here. It is, there are some really nice people here and as I said I had had lots of nice PM's after I got shot down for speaking my mind the other day. But there is a small minority here who say they are part of this community who don't seem very nice with outsiders, who jeer and 'yeah' and encourage others who like to snap at newbies. You don't do the community any favours.

The above post must have taken ages, but gives a really good, kind, thoughtful response. Perhaps we could cut and paste this in future when those who may not use a lot of words ask for help with glitches?
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused
  • Instead of getting the cheapest one free, it seems like we get charged for 2 of the cheapest (this total is then divided between the 3 items, eg. 24p conditioner x2=48p. 48p/3 = 16p each). That's how it works for the cheaper items. Get SP conditioner or gel, not the shampoo.

Thank you. I have read back just trying to comprehend and do my job, (without getting caught on here lol)

    many thanks.

I apprreciate all the comments about handing info on a plate, but I think we can tell on here who contributes and who doesnt so its nice to get replied to when you ask a question
The art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have :)
  • I really don't want to start an argument here, but those here who buy the wrong stuff and say about taking it back, I hope you don't. This is a fab glitch as have been many others. The saying 'you win some, you lose some' applies here.
    I totally agree.

But your wasting your time, this is the me, me, me , win at all costs mindset.

1 sp gel plus 3 aussie and 2 cheap worked fine.

    TK is still working today

Vallis will be the ones that can fully look into this information the store would not be able too with out the receipt with the operator number and till number on it

Yes I did make some returns yesterday and I picked the customer services person carefully. I am not that stupid to pick a assistant that will look into the transaction too closely. I did these returns over two store as well. So that is unlikely to flag it up.

Thanks for your reply, and the info re the other missing info.

I'm still curious why you feel the need to take things back? Isn't doing more shops and getting it right, thus getting the rest for 16p instead of £5 or so enough for you?

I haven't bothered with the wine but with Xmas coming (lol) I could put some away for pressies. Can I ask what price the wine comes out to per bottle?
