  • I'm sorry for asking this question here but how do I create a new post?
  • Pick which board is relevant, and on the page where all the threads are listed, there's a blue button at the top left that says 'new thread'. (It looks like the 'post reply' one that you used to do your message)

We have gun control for a reason - to stop weapons (and air rifles are weapons, abeit ones that are normally used for hunting and / or target shooting) getting in the hands of those who are likely to misuse them or be unable to use them responsibly.

I can fully understand Royal Mail not wanting to deliver them, given the legal ramifacations if a package containing a gun and / or ammo goes missing. If someone really does not want to deliver a gun or ammo by hand then they really should be using a courier that is equipped appropiatly

There are some air rifles that require a Fire Arms Certificate (FAC) and Air Pistols over certain power levels are illegal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_gun_laws#United_Kingdom).

The vast majority aren't. Having royalmail post guns and parts is good because it should act as a strong motivator to deliver items properly.

  • Arg, I have a better idea. Attach a small bomb to all your post, with a first class bomb designed to go off after a day, second class after two days. Only the intended recipient knows the code to defuse it. So if the post is late or misdirected, it will explode.

    That'll learn 'em.

  • Literally the stupidest thread I've read during my admittedly short time here.

I think you're jumping the gun here.
