MSE News: EDF to pull top fixed energy deal

It looks like you can still get this deal if you go direct to the EDF website and transfer through them.
Clearly you won't get any benefits like you do by using the comparison sites but at least you can still get the deal even if you're not an existing EDF customer.
Hope this helps.0 -
Signed up online today - still good...:j0

I've just signed up today, so it's still available. I'm already an EDF customer, so I don't know whether it's still available for transfers from other suppliers.0

I received a letter from EDF today regards this offer, but it only mentions electricity and not gas (although email I have from them has gas and electricity on it) does anyone know, do they send two seperate letters for each product?0
-
Now only available to existing customers.
I went to their website and found a message that this offer was no longer available. However, since they are my current supplier I then logged in to my account, and within the secure area I found a link that still worked and enabled me to switch.0 -

I initiated my switch on Monday 3rd and received this email but nothing else yet.
"Dear badger09
Congratulations on choosing Blue +Price Promise April 2014 from EDF Energy
Blue is backed by electricity from nuclear generation, a low carbon source*. If anyone launches a tariff that is more than £52 per year cheaper, that's £1 a week cheaper at typical consumption**, we'll let you know^.
What happens next?
EDF Energy will start supplying your energy in four to five weeks time, but in the meantime we'll send you a copy of your contract, and a Blue +Price Promise April 2014 booklet with everything you need to know about your new tariff.
We'll get in touch with your current supplier to sort out your transfer."
I assume that means I'm still ok for this deal, as long as I don't change my mind during the cooling off period. Can anyone confirm this please?0 -
EDF use a 12 day cooling off period so nothing will happen until that has elapsed.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Yes, I know they use a cooling off period.
I was asking if anyone could confirm that, having received the confirmation email from EDF as above, I will still get this tariff even though it has since been withdrawn.0 -

Same here, I am already an EDF customer. Last night I logged on to my account & switched to the Blue tariff with no problems. If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me0
