Can I keep it?

Hi,
Hope this is the right place to post this.
I just bought a new very large lcd tv from an internet site (the actual purchase was made over the fone) which was just delivered. The delivery guy gave me two boxes, both of which have stickers with my name etc. on them.
The thing is, that one of them is a home cinema system! I thought for a moment that it may have come with the tv but it doesn't say anything on the site or on my order confirmation.
I have checked and I have been billed only for the cost of the TV and delivery. The home cinema looks as though it may have been a previous return as the box was damaged but inside, all looks ok.
So the question is, can I keep it? Can they request it back later?
All help appreciated!

Are you sure that the TV body comes with it's own speakers, sometimes you need separate speakers etc as they are not a part of the tv.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

A person is guilty of theft if he dishonestly appropriated property belonging to another with the intention of permanently depriving the other of it.
Theft act Sec1 theft 1968.
The definition of Dishonestly (thats you not telling them about it)
Appropriates (takes ownership of it i.e eats it, opens, wears it)
Property (Includes cash & fruits, garden flowers)
Belonging to another (err as it is!)
Intention (are you going to return it? No!)
Permanently depriving (could means making less value i.e used)
Thats theft.
I can quite safely say that you fill the criteria.
Anyone differ?0 -
For all you know the speakers are part of it......keep it and enjoy. You may walk and you may run

That's delusional. Thats a very dangerous state of mind to live in.
You shouldnt give that sort of advice out, you actually aiding someone to commit a crime.

I would call & ask them. As some say, it may be part of the TV anyway.
The best that can happen: It is part of the TV. Or, they may let you keep it for being honest(OK, I may be ever so slightly delusional
)
The worst that can happen: They will take it away. But at least you won't be feeling guilty, which can be wonderful.
By calling, you win either way IMO. So honesty is the best policy.
