There is nothing on it to say it was thunder & lightning & not sure what conditions a hellicopter can fly in.

    Many thanks

I would think the operator's website should have the details on what conditions they can fly in.

Both you and your daughter heard the message, and were obviously on the to take the flight when you heard it. That would certainly be enough for an English court, and I doubt if the courts in Scotland are very different.

    Hi Voyager
Thanks, yes you would think it would be all pretty straight forward & i have told the 'company director' this but he seems to be convinced he is right and iam wrong, no reply from him yet regarding the letter i sent through royal mail which was signed for on 27/8/2012 so early days yet as i was told to write on letter that i will give them 14 days to respond.
    Thanks

If he refuses to respond to your 'LBA' than that will go in your favour if/when you take it to court - They take a dim view on people who don't at least try to reach an understanding out of court.

I dont know how to find the operator off the helipad i have searched online but no luck.
However even if it did fly then basically there bad communications ''then'' made us miss it.
He said it went ahead and other people turned up for the flight , if this is true then the only thing i can think off is that they called the helicopter confirmation line before 2.20pm because right up untill 2.20 the message said all flights were still going ahead which shocked me really as it was thunder & lightning so when i called at 2.20pm i was not surprised to here a new message saying all Glasgow flights were cancelled.
    Thanks for your help

What I meant by operator was the company you booked with - They should have a description of the weather they can fly in.
