September's 2012 BR Club

:staradmin Hi Everyone and Welcome to the September's 2012 Bankruptcy Club :staradmin

This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during September 2012. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your BR journey. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.

Remember this is your board so keep posting :hello:

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that need answering please still post them on the main board, as you will receive more advice and help.
Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.

A week today and still feels good most creditors have been told when they called chasing payments, feel a bit sorry for the caller as they have prepared themselves and the script to pressure a payment out of you and the "you cant have anything, here is my BR number" you can hear the disappointment in there voice, but also finding out the lack of training they are given, very few knew what to say or do when told other than "we will note it on your records" some still wanted a payment, seemed surprised when told it would be illegal for me to make one to them, these are "debt collection specialists" not the original creditors, guess shows the level of training given to the call centre staff.
One threatened that they will still persue me for the debt no matter what, pointed them in the direction of the "Protection from Harrasment" law of '97 and would they like to be arrested instead? we shall see if the field agent they have said will call is nice.:)

Hi, Went BR 13.55 03.09.12. Couldnt belive how non-judgemental teh court staff were and how straightforward the process was. This is not to say that becoming BR is something to be shouted about but more that I needn't had been so anxious about the court process.

I have still not heard from the OR however. I called on 7th September 2012 and left a message. I hope I get a call or a letter soon as I want to complete the OR process and any IPA stuff as soon as possible and move on.

I'll provide regular updates here.
