Guess what Tete, a primary school called me direct this morning to have a chat, say they really like my application for SCITT (who officially rejected me 2 days ago....!) and they'd like me to come for interview!!!
No idea when as yet, and I'm hoping that they won't come across any problems when reinstating my SCITT application, but oh my goodness, what an amazing turn up for the books
The lady I spoke to was so lovely and friendly, and I've had a look at the school's website and it looks really cute. Blimey o'Reilly, I'm so excited!!!0 -
That's fantastic news Kitty - keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you, keep us up to date on it.
I've been imprisoned in the house today as the driveway is being 'done' so we can't get out. I wanted to make some birds nest cakes for the run tomorrow but can't get out to get the Mini Eggs for them so that's been shelved - luckily I hadn't told anyone I was doing it so no pressure (I'm starting to learn how to not put too much pressure on MYSELF). Started to take the opportunity to have a good spring clean but now I'm at the point where there's stuff all over the place and you wish you'd never startedWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Aww I hate that Tete. Have a nice break and a cuppa and then it will seem much easier. If it's any consolation I've been sanding all day and feeling a bit the same. I forgot it was Easter weekend and had planned to work, so I decided to take a thoroughly undeserved impromptu day off! Hope you're enjoying your weekend
Great news Kitty! Good luck:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Good morning! Hope everyone's had a nice Easter weekend. Mine was fairly boring and we were trapped in the house for a lot of it as we were having the drive 'done'. It did force me into doing a Big Tidy though so that was good and I sorted some charity/ebay stuff, although I didn't manage any listing :wall:
I have also failed at starting the 30DS yesterday- might give it a go tonight depending on how I feel - I'm attempting a 500 calorie day today (for the 5:2 diet). Weighed myself yesterday and despite all the choccy eggs I had lost 2lbs from the previous week so losing 15lbs would take me to 10.4 which is a happy weight for me.
A few things that I desperately need to do today:
- Transfer money into ISA
- Pay credit card
- Pay H for theatre
- Book airport parking
- Restart MFP
- Order A and M bday presents
- Go to bank
- Make taggies
- Make soup
That'll do for starters....Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I didn't start 30DS yesterday either Tete, I was just coming on here to confess! I did finally manage to weigh myself though - getting rid of my scales was a BAD idea. I hadn't been on the Wii fit thing for ages and I have gained 1 stone 2 lbs in that time. In fact, when I stepped on the board the little icon thingy popped up and congratulated me as it thought I was holding a baby
Had a lovely weekend though and feel ready for some healthy living! I have a friend's wedding on Thursday so have booked that and the Friday off, so having a very lovely 2 day week this week
Good luck with the 5:2 today!

Oh dear Shrimpy! I shouldn't laugh, but that is quite funny! :rotfl:
I know what you mean about being ready for healthy living, feeling that way too! Off to buy bucket loads of veg tonight and I hope I can avoid the pile of chocolate in my living room!
Really good news for you Kitty! Good luck!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

OH found it hilarious as well - evidently weighing myself with him in the room was also a BAD idea! It has definitely upped my motivation though!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
I can't get over how impertinent the Wii fit is!!
I've just spent a good hour looking through my previous ISA stuff and moving some money about. I've now maxed out my 2012-13 ISA allowance so don't need to worry about that, just need to move pretty quick after 6 April when the rate goes from 3.3% 0.5%
Annoyingly, the best current rate (2.5%) is at Santander, which is where my current ISA is - and I'm guessing you can't apply to the same place for a new ISA?! Next best allowing transfers in is 2.3%, but annoyingly it's post only! I might just wait til after the weekend and see if anything new comes up then - you never know do you?!
Also paid my friend for theatre tickets in June and my credit card bill including £12 late payment fee :wall::wall::wall: When will I learn?! I don't even NEED the card, just trying to boost my clubcard points a bit! :wall::wall::wall:
Still, feeling very :money::money: and clear-headed for getting those bits done. Lunchtime I think - one of those squeezy soups for me - yummo!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Afternoon,
How rude of the wii fit Shrimpy! I loved it when i got on after having poppy, told me i had lost loads of weight haha. I am also lighter now than before i had poppy although think i'm a bit more wobbly lol.
My e-isa rate with natwest is dropping to 2% but not too bad , although will need to take some money out soon so will drop even further to 1.75% . Not that bad though looking at the best out there.0 -
That isn't a bad rate Wendz, they're shocking at the mo. I've just had a closer look at the Santander website and it mentions something about an internal ISA transfer, so maybe I CAN apply there again, might give them a call later *shrinks at the thought*
Had my soup, was very unsatisfying!! I'm at 103 calories so far today - worst bit will be avoiding the Easter eggs, but knowing it's only for today definitely makes it easier!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
