Thanks all. They called back last night and left a message on my phone as I was driving - they've tested for Leukemia and Feline-AIDS and both came back negative. They were going to leave her along overnight and see how she gets on. He did say that he was less worried about her by 6.30 than he had been at 5pm when he was really concerned. Called them just now but they said they're just doing the rounds of the in-patients now and will call me back - so at least that doesn't sound too drastic :undecidedWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Just spoke to the vet. She still isn't well and is in a lot of pain. They suspect FIP which I've never head of in a lifetime of cat ownership but after some research it certainly sounds like what she has. There's no diagnostic test for it and no treatment. He said if she doesn't rally in the next 24 hours it will be kinder to put her to sleep
Nothing I've read suggests it's something they recover from though. My poor baby! She was absolutely fine on Saturday! So I'm at my desk crying my eyes out - boss doesn't know what to do, she's not a 'pet person' and I don't think they really understand how much pets are a part of the family

Oh Tete Had never heard of FIP before so have just googled, there have been some cases of full recovery according to what I've just read so there is some hope accroding to the articles.
Could your boss let you go home? Being an animal person I know how much they mean, sending lots of positive thoughts to you and Mavis.
