  • Its Saturday and i should be off work tomorrow, but heyho been asked if i want to help out, said i can only work 4 hours first thing, well it will help where needed, why slog on your day off. extra doshy at the end of the month. :j
Have listed some new items on ebay ;) . awaiting bids. please. have put a item on that im trying to double the price of, so its my little baby item. will tell you if it sells. i have faith in my plan.

Have been contacted re old laptop its suppose to be going on monday. hopefully. alittle doshy this week to add to my total.

got my hubby interested in my ebay, although he doesnt know how to ebay, hes interested in my cash pot!!! told him its for the holiday. i have started a £2 savings pot, its already sealed and you do have to smash it to get the money out. Im not smashing it till its absolutly full. will be next year some time. i have faith too on that one.

So at the end of the month im going to do a food challenge, make menus and set a budget. for two. can anyone help me with this? what sort of budjet do you think? want to be healthier with it if possible, money saved at the end of the month re budget will pay off towards debts.

I am happy im paying off my debts regualary monthly at the end of each month. im glad to see the totals dropping. 3 years ago they didnt look like this. so a big pat on the back for me for getting my head into gear and doing something about it.

So off to bed now. ready for a early start. good night friends x

Sounds like you're doing well in trying to clear your debts.

Keep on ebaying lol. My brother once set up an ebay business to make a bit of extra cash after he finished uni. bought a wholesale load of clothes on ebay, then sold them individually. Made a bit of money doing it too. If you had that could be something to look into. But it's taxable above a certain amount. He did it before ebay got strict about business accounts.
  • Hi there, its monday, not up to much today, my mind is working over time all the time, thinking of ways to make that little bit extra. although looking at my ebay sales this week, nothing is being bid on or if they are its lowest bid possible, not going to be making my future here, need something different to focus on. Ive picked up a few extra hours at work. so the end of the month might be nicer on the bank balance. Have chatted with the hubby about starting a food budjet at the end of the month, working towards lowering the budjet each month to a affordable amount. so am looking for cheaper meals and menus, if anyone as any. Laptop guy keeps putting me off, so il hang on selling it just yet. hope everyone else is good and making a easier pathway, xx

  • Every little bit helps ;)

You're doing a lot of planning ahead regarding shopping/food and also with your extra hours at work. That's all really positive :)

Hi there. thanks for the positive vibes, do you think im over thinking on things, im thinking of all ways to cut back or return some money to our pockets. Ive made around £57 this week selling the old laptop and some ebay items, even got my sisters seeking out there old items so i can ebay! hope they come up with something interesting for me. work as always given me extra shifts so i know as long as i am able to work i will pick up when needed.
the menus i need for the end of sept, we both work shifts so cooking everyday wont be happening. we still need to budget though.

  • No I don't think you're over-thinking. What you're doing is spot on. You will find that after a while, the money/budgeting thing becomes second nature so you don't have to 'think' quite so much. But to get you off to a good start stick with what you're doing :)

  • should i feel guilty on holiday? didnt spend alot, had a budget and used it up on way home. didnt go over. even treated myself. so heres to week 4 out of my 10 wk mission. Ebay items are sold and posted off to their new owners. now its time to relist and add more items to my ebay selling. today i have sold a item of clothing to my friend who always wanted it. because i dont wear it anymore she can make use of it. so next time i see her its hers. laptop is now going friday. hopefully. hubby is now saving his £2 coins in my jar so ive now lost count, but its not for this years use so im happy if he wants to join my mission. :j
Im happy in new job so might even pick up some extra shifts if asked. its almost the 28th when my regular monthly payments are deducted from my debts so soon to reduce my owings. i love that time of the month. little by little im reducing. all in all im not so worried about my debts, i know the past few years i have struggled but i have got there, i can see a light appearing at the end of my tunnel, i can see a better finacial future and i know i can make extra money or survive on a budget. So you guys who are out there reading my story, have faith and carry on. you will get there! it feels good.

  • Aw pantherchick, it's so good to read your post!! I'm so, so pleased, firstly about how well you're actually doing, but also about how you're feeling about it all!!

Your very first post in this thread says 'its time to face facts and get rid of these debts that for years have stopped me living my life, sleepless nights and struggling with life.' Compare that to the post above?! Wahey!! You go girl! :j
