Hi elly :hello: Thanks for your message. At the momentour incomes are pretty much the same- but I had so many more outgoings with all the CCs and loans that in the end I always had way less money. Now that we are dealing with it together things should be better :)

Saying that, husband had a review at work the other day and it looks like he will be getting a promotion and go up a pay grade. :T

Lazy day so far. Still in pyjamas on the sofa! Will have a little walk out later in the sunshine but other wise nothing to do today but a little washing up! I may have a little root around in my crafty box as I think I may have a few things I can ebay that I'm not using anymore that I can make sure are cleaned up today and put up tomorrow. A few pennies on ebay and in the paypal account can be used to buy some new crafty bits.

I do have a satin bridal shrug I bought for my wedding I could ebay as it was unworn as I ended up having to have my dress completely remodelled and it wouldn't work with the shrug with the new neckline but... I'm not sure I want to sell it yet. It's silly I know but...there you go.

So annoyed with myself. :( Just listed 1 item on ebay. Due to insertion fee special offer the listing was only costing me 7p. Great. Until I went to the selling section in 'my ebay' to look at my listing, saw a 'send to auction' option. Thought that meant it hadn't listed it yet so sent it to auction. This cancelled the Buy It Now option I had set up and did it as a normal auction- which I didn't want. ThenI had to cancel that and relist it again properly and now it cost me 2.49! :( I'm only selling the darn thing for £4.99 so once fees taken off I am now getting nothing out of it. Practically. Well, at least I learnt what not to do in the future. Stupid me. :(

Going into town to pay off my loan so that will be that sorted! Pay Tesco and then they are all cleared and we can open an ISA to pay money into so it can be earning interest until we give it back to OHs parents.

I've been having a retro blast from the past by reading through my old diaries. My second diary was my most successful where I managed to pay £2k off my debt in less than a year- without OHs help. Imagine what we can do together now?!

    My main plan was:

    My simple plan is:
    1. Keep a track of all my incomings and outgoings
    2. Make at least one overpayment to a debt per month
    3. Always think 'do I NEED this, or WANT this?' before I buy anything.
    4. Always look for a cheaper option.
So there, how simple is that?

And I think that it still applies. Obviously point 2 will be more simple as there is only one debt to make an over payment to. If I manage only £11 extra per month then that will clear it a month earlier. In the immortal words of tesco...every little helps! :)

Right- as tempting as it is to stay in my pyjamas for the next 2 hours I need to get a wiggle on and get into town and do everything I need to- including paying my loan off! Hoping to be back home relatively early, do the washing up instead of being lazy and then get started again on the cross stitch birth sampler I'm working on as I want to give it to our friends as a Christmas present (when baby will be nearly 6 months!) If I don't pick it up again soon it'll be a first birthday present :rotfl:

    Ok... I'm going.. gone.

This is as far as I got with my sewing yesterday:

    2012-09-10211254.jpg

I'd like to day I did all that yesterday but I just did the green stripey bit! I thought I'd do little photo updates to make me keep up to do it or it'll never be done for christmas- it took 4 hours to do the green stripey bit.

It's a bit marked at the moment as it was in a hoop to start with but I got a frame yesterday (£6.99, very reasonable :) ) so when it's all done I'll see if it needs a clean before mounting (I may just be sewing over the marked bits. What the eye doesn't see :rotfl:) It'll be ironed anyway when I put interfacing on the back to hold the stitches so the creases will come out.

I shall do a bit more tonight- aiming for the black bits on the zebra- on the left side (I've done a bit of the zebra)

More photo updates to follow :D

Today is also the 1 month 'anniversary' of my LBM so I thought I'd take a moment to check in with where I'm at now:

Most debts paid off- just Tesco to sort out either by card or send cheque (0% so either way is fine) hopefully doing that tonight.

Got a wedding to go to on Saturday- have money set aside for this and spent £25 total on outfit to wear (£15 dress, £5 tights, £4 bag, £1 hair donut to put my hair up) and I'm taking confetti left over from my wedding instead of buying new (nice purple dried flower confetti :) )

Bought gift for brother-in-laws 30th and voucher for wedding with money which was all set aside.

I may not go into my overdraft at all this month (and if I do should be a small amount- less than £50)

Will be setting up ISA at end of month to put repayments to in-laws.

Not going so badly at the moment :D
