Great news laura.
I hope Harold is doing all right. We have just had our kitten neutered (female).
Things are all going the right way for you0 -

Congratulations on the new job Laura, that's absolutely fantastic news. How did your boss take you giving in your notice? Has he now paid you up to date?
Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Hi redstar
Did get all of november pay eventually, about 2 weeks after it was due. He has emailed us to say he 'should' be in a position to pay us in full next week, but I don't like the sound of that 'should', could easily turn into...'oh no, i can't' We got our wage slips yesterday and were particularly unimpressed by
1) He has left off the bonus we earnt last month by hitting target (no thanks to him)
2) He hasn't paid us £100 christmas bonus he promised for all the trouble (didn't expect to see it anyway, realistically)
3) some people haven't been paid overtime they worked.
Now bonus is discretionary, or whatever, but all he had to do is SAY that he was having to suspend it temporarily or permanently or whatever. But as usual, no communication :mad:0 -

Well, he surprised us all by paying us YESTERDAY. Even though we weren't supposed to be paid until monday. Like he thinks paying us early makes up for paying us late the last 2 months..3 months.. however long this rubbish has been going on for. Ah well, money in the bank now... shame that makes it even longer until next pay day...nothing more now until the new year!0 -
Ooh, thought I would share my mega MSE lunchtime pet food bargain- went to t*sco to buy a bit of a bulk shop on a few pet food essentials: bought:
4xlots of cat milk 3 pk £2.69 each
1x fancy cat pouches £4.69
1x small box wiskas £1.09
so should have been £16.54 (a LOT for cat food- but he's so fussy since having his teeth out that getting him to eat anything other than roast chicken is getting difficult and that's just as expensive!!)
Anyway, don't know if cat milk was reduced or the lady at checkout scanned it wrong but it came through at £1.09 each (can't tell from reciept, they all say 'cat food') So now it is: £10.14 but then they had 25% off pet food on so came out at: £7.61- saving £8.93! Bargain! :money:0 -
Having trouble updating my snail race... the passwords won't work for some reason. Anyway, currently Husband has £600 and I have £400 (as I didn't manage to save the £200 in Nov due to the wage problems..but it WILL get caught up in the new year) so £1000 down, £14,000 to go! 6.5% down!0

Well done it is goin in the right direction!

Gonna get me a shiny new 2013 diary maybe that will help!

Hi Dolly- maybe a new year and a new start is what you need!
Of course the new year is going to bring some big changes for me.. which will hopefully mean I can continue to make progress towards the DFD... and catch up o that missing £200 which is bothering me.0
