Cheeky git just about covers it. I can think of other words though. Less polite words.
Anyways, I have an interview lined up for next Thursday. A job which would mean a £6.5k pay rise! Now that would be nice. Only draw back- 2 late nights a week, as well as Saturdays. But- +£6.k, a pension, discount off of groceries (It's A$DA, the interview is for) bonus, the ability to buy shares, I'll halve my travel costs... the benefits are too much not to go to the interview.
Only draw back... need to buy a suit. I don't have any suitable interview attire

Good Luck Laura!
I hope you get it. You can get a nice suit for next to nothing now. I got a new one cheap as chips from Ebay for curvy girls, in my case, but there are normals sizes as well. It's a pin stripe that goes in the washing machine! Ace. As long as you get your measurements right, there are loads of good deals
Good luck x0 -
Just catching up and wanted to wish you luck for your interview x
Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Hello everybody! :hello: Hope everyone is well.
Have been AWOL a while as been so busy the last 2 weeks had no time for computer! Last 2 weeks have looked like: cat to vet, parents visit, husband birthday, in-laws visit, cat back to vet, job interview, friends weekend visit. and today- doctors for me and back to the vet! Phew! Busy busy. Oh, and now I'm coming down with a cold!
Harold has had 3 teeth out at he vet and is recovering although he is back to vets tonight for a check up. Sadly he may have an auto-immune disease which make his body attack his teeth so we may have to have them all out to save him all the pain (cats can survive with out teeth as long as they have wet, soft food. No biscuits) Hopefully, he hasn't got that or he will be a poor gummy cat
And on the job front- I got a new job! £5.5k a year pay rise- more hours, more responsibility but better money, halved travel costs, pension, staff discount (it's for A$DA, going to manage an optical department) and ..i should get paid every month!:D0 -
So- the full story is: I had tthe interview on Thursday which took over 2 hours! Long interview! A big part of the interview was them telling me how badly the department was doing and how much hard work there was going to be and how much pressure to turn it around! At least they were honest. Also, the dropped in that it's a 45 hour week so and extra 7 hours compared to what I do now. Anyways, they said they would get back to me Tuesday or Wednesday this week- but then got back to me Friday saying I'd got the job! Well, I wasn't prepared to say 'yes' straight away, had to think through all the pros and cons and make sure the pros really did outweigh the cons, and also make sure I wasn't just being to scared to say yes..
Anyways, I have just said yes! So will, theoretically, be handing my notice in tomorrow.
Pros- £5.5k pay rise
- pension
- staff discount
- halved travel costs
- Ability to buy shares in company
- Can join private healthcare scheme if wished
- manager title on cv
- Will get paid on time
- Holiday same as now (5 weeks) but increases to 6 weeks per year over time.
- More hours
- More pressure
- More responsibility
- It's scary
