Read backwards. I was telling one poster to hope that the car they were recommending be towed into the road, that it wasn't an automatic in park. This would destroy its tyres and gearbox.

That would be criminal damage. You can't tow a car by accident can you.

No, it would be aggravated twoc.

So you're telling me, if you drag someones automatic car out onto the street, while it's in park and ruin its tyres and possibly the gearboxes parking brake, that it's only twoc and no criminal damage?

I suppose that may depend on the police force but if it happened to me I wouldn't let it go and I'd be in touch with my MP to ensure the force nailed the little ****s b@lls to the floor.

They'll be chasing the owner if it's not taxed.

Seriously though, it's probably someone down the road dumped it there, have it dragged onto the road and then let the DVLA deal with them.

Moving a car from private land on to the road without the own premission or consent is classed as thieft,

Edit: Sorry misunderstood. Wrote a long post defending my use of the word 'your' and then realised almillar had actually quoted Sgt Pepper - Whoops!
