Car dumped by me ~ landlord not interested

Thanks glenandemm but DVLA not interested unless parked/used on public highway.
They'll be chasing the owner if it's not taxed.
Seriously though, it's probably someone down the road dumped it there, have it dragged onto the road and then let the DVLA deal with them.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Have you reported it to your local council as an abandoned vehicle?
From directgovLocal councils are responsible for the removal of abandoned vehicles, whether on private land or the public highway. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Ring em back take the £160 and sign the forms as Bob Harris with a fake address, you get shut of the offending vehicle and some money for fun.0

Direct Gov suggests you get in touch with the council and reprort is as abandoned, it is then the councils responsibility even if its on private land as it could present a danger to the public. They will do a DVLA search to see if there is an owner, if there isnt then they will dispose of accordingly.

The correct answer is 8 quoted above.
Just report it and let the Council deal with it.
As a responsible resident this is the right thing to do.0 -

If you've contacted the landlord about it then you've done your bit, it's taking up one visitor space out of 8 and you say they are seldom used anyway, are any other residents bothered? Why make this your own little personal crusade?
Don't know about other residents as almost 100% of remainder rent which means they have to contact their landlord who in turn has to contact the management company. Not really a personal crusade other than trying to tidy up the place plus I suppose the car could have been stolen and dumped in which case the owner may, if nothing else now, want the CD's etc out of the car. Not being blunt about it I supppose if it were your car you might want it/contents returned.0 -
I'd just report it to the council as dumped, and leave it to them.
The car could belong to one of the other flats."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

You are concerned that the car may have been stolen and that the owner may at least want some of the cd's etc that are in the car back, yet you were quite prepared to call in a scrap metal company to come and take the car away. Have you called the DVLA, they would know if it was reported stolen.
The car has been parked there 18 months, it may well belong to another resident or the owner may have permission to leave the car there, this could explain the lack of interest from the management company.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

I did not call a scrap metal company - your comment is incorrect. I have called the DVLA (Swansea). The management company just have not responded despite both a letter and telephone calls however other matters such as communal cleaning/lighting/grass cutting are not dealt with properly so their lack of interest in a 'dumped' car was to be expected.0
