Pre- interview interview
Comments

Phil - you start a new thread every day of the week on the same subject - your disability and how you -
1. cannot get a job because you are disabled
2. you cannot get an interview because you are disabled
3. when you have had the interview you won't be offered a job because you are disabled
4. they won't talk to you on the phone because you are disabled.
etc, etc, etc.
I am disabled so I can say this -
you make a fool of yourself because of your disability.
What did I tell you the other day? You are a procrastinator. Procrastinator's never get anything done because they are too busy procrastinating.
Phil the Procrastinator - that is your new name
I am fed of hearing it - pull yourself together and get on with it.0 -

It could be that they get inundated with e-mails and faxes the way liney does. We get thousands of e-mails, faxes and web site feedback forms every day where I work, and it's not always easy to tell which are genuine, especially if they're not clearly phrased.
I think you need to calm down and stop being so touchy. You have a genuine reason for needing this information, and the employer has a genuine need to establish whether this post is appropriate for you, and whether any adjustments need to be made to facilitate you working for them. Meanwhile the normal day-to-day business of the company needs to carry on, and that may include wading through the correspondence identifying spurious enquiries.
Considering it is pubic sector and not a buying dept. and there is no reason to link diasabled people look for jobs with spam, I do find it very annoying.:beer:0 -

Do you think it acceptable for disabled access to be linked with Spam?
I am on the phone every fighting for this job, do you want me to go in and force them to give me the job, as that is the only way I can see I can be more proactive?:beer:0 -

Again, not true. I get all sorts of spam every day from people wanting to sell me new HR this and training that.
They often portray themselve as something they aren't.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

Okay, but I still feel very upset that a true question on disabled access is even linked with spam.:beer:0 -

I would be too, Phil, but I can only think that the way you worded it made it sound like spam to them.

You are taking this out of all proportion and making it a personal matter - yet again! As I understand you contacted them in the first place and at that point were offered a meeting, which I assume they were going to arrange. Then because you were not prepared to wait for them to get back to you, and on finding that the person (manager) was not in you sent an email. The reply was (probably standard) suggesting that you call with more details as they could not respond to the email with details incase it was spam.
I contacted a company this week by email regarding a matter where I gave all my details within the email but received an email from them saying much the same and requested I should phone them - this can also be for your protection as someone could have got hold of your details.
But no, you take it as a personal attack and make a big scene, and are now determined that they have something against disabled people! You always create your own problems, you look for problems which are not there - they are in your head.:wall: I think it is an excuse and a fear of failure. It's the same record over and over and over again. Every new thread you start is a 'sequel' to the last and you never take the good advice from people here and just go off in your own little world and another scenario emerges which you have to fight because everyone is against you and your disability.
People here have tried to help you but ..............it gets very tiring.0 -
I am not using it as an excuse for failing as I really want this job and I thought being really open and getting in touch with people and explaining it all would help them like me and not worry about it and so I would stand a good chance.:beer:0

What exactly did you say?
I said, Please could they pass me onto the correct person as I wish to make an appointment to discuss disabled access and the suitability of their advertised vacancy for a disabled person.
That is nothing like I am selling you a cheap penis enlarger.:beer:0 -

Sorry Phil, but that sounds just like spam. Why didn't you say you'd applied for the position and wanted to discuss disabled access as there was no information in the pack?
It sounds like someone that's seen the advert and has taken the opportunity to try and sell some 'improvements' to their disabled access.
Did you send the e-mail from hotmail too??!:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5
