I think I got caught out with the ladies undies £2.00 each, didn't realise they were 3 for £5.00. My shop was messed up anyway so don't think this affected any of the £50.00 spends but the £7.00 off £35.00 adults second coupon. Can't make sense of my receipts at all.
I am having to take all back... i am lucky cause is only a few minutes away, but I am cross because i had a similar problem in Worcester and the lovely cs lad said you were close enought here is your tenner. so going back again with all my goods. I feel like returning the lot as if you go to primark you can get the undies and swimwear half what you pay in tesco and the handbags are not 10 quid like the one I got for my dd1.

I am seriously thinking of giving up on TESCO complety... is a waste of time...
BTW there clothes are not very good.... overpriced in teh first place... so they are only worth if we get them discounted.

I think the clothes are good - compared to paying the prices in Next, Debenhams etc - when the kids are going to grow out of them in a few months etc......you cant complain when you get a pack of 5 tshirts for £7 and thats before any coupons. Personally i wouldnt touch H&M or primark because you only get what you pay for and when ive bought there after one wash theyre only good for rags. I guess its each to their own again and even after coupons i will still be shopping there as ive found the quality good :)

took so long to type this that you posted again - the primark comment wasnt aimed at you honestly!!!

the quality of clothes of t can be unpredictable. we normally wash new clothes before wearing them for the first time. 2 polo shirts got totally out of shape and unwearable after just one wash, check label and it should be ok for machine wash at 40 degree. they costed £18 each! but then the plain white tshirt £4 each and underwear are good quality.

t clothes are a bit overpriced in general. bought a summer top a couple of weeks ago (with old yellows) but have not wear it yet due to weather, it is reduced by £5 already, i would be gutted if it was not acquired by couponing. many tshirts are priced at £12 £18, that is not cheap. the suit is reasonably priced but not very high quality.

oh well, guess we just can't have everything, so happy shopping :)

I agree negirl, ive always shopped at tescos, personally i think they're better quality than alot of kids clothes shops which always seem to shrink etc, tescos clothes always wash well. Its just now I know of all the possible discounts I could get I begrudge paying full price, its terrible really but hey its a habit Im not going to break for a while.

keep an eye for H&M for just once a year, they have big designer range just for H&M at an affordable price. saw it on the times style magazine that there was a year with karl lagerfield, then stella mccartney the next, the prices were high street price and the design looked fab. it was around November time each year i think. i could not afford them personally (struggling with bills and had not had any clothes shopping for years until the discovery of this thread, thanks) but for someone who love clothes and can afford it, the H&M promo could be an once-a-year treat.

can u help got some of the new ones already and hopefully blue ones on their way:j how do i get the best out of them never had blue ones bfore so am even more ignorant than usual:o :o

Which vouchers exactly have you got?
We usually say to spend £60 (£35 womens/mens and £25 kids) This then accomodates for all the vouchers.
You can use the all of blue set and all of the new set and pay £12, which is good, but if you have the new quit clothing or £6 yellow, use two and the clothes are free. :D
I have never had a problem using blues but if the ones you are using have a June expiry, be careful as some have reported them not working unless they are scanned first, so keep them at the top of the pile. HTH

Am going to share this with you all:

I've had 2 £60 clothing shops for nothing in the last 2 days.

Before you all think *lucky Patty* can i just tell you this.

I have had the week from hell. Apart from a few other disasters these have happened:

Not only is Mr Patty's car stuck in the garage with the head gasket gone ( it's a Saab & therefore a long & expensive job)........

Last night my youngest dropped a full tin of pillarbox red paint all over my cream/beige/red/green wilton in the dining room.
    It's ruined.
Not only that but i had actually planned to take it back for a refund today as i had bought too much :(

    Karma or what? :o

well, i had to end the day on a positivenote, ANYWAY, went to another store and boom bang a bang... little lad (bless him!) took all the coupons i have him!

Hope you noted his name, casually asked him, if he was full time or part time, then asked him if he worked the same shifts all the time, then found out which.......(sounds a lot to ask, but quite easy to ask all, in 5 minutes)

I'm serious about this......Ive got a list of most of my recent successes(and failures) and i know where and when to go.

Didnt prevent me from 5 failures in last few days, but unless theyve been told otherwise, a known coupon accepter(imho) is the best choice.

And, they shouldnt think anything suspicious, as they havent been told otherwise..........................................yet.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

When I buy clothes, I work out the total with my mobile phone. Then to be on the safe side I pick up a few extras, which I keep at the back of my shopping. I put the clothes on first, them some general shopping. I watch the total of the clothes as they add up and if they don't reach the required total I can include the extras. If not I leave them behind. You have to keep a close eye on the total, but it is worth it and means you are not buying more than you need to.
