Hey all, managed to get £60 of clothes yesterday for free using a set of blue, a set of the new ones and 2 get active. Also got quite a few of the new sets, which I am pleased about. I did recieve a set of blues on thursday but am still awaiting three sets, so hope they will come on monday in time for some more clothes shops before the 20th. Hopefully I can find some new yellows or quits too!
Also, talking of the new Tesco mag, I have seen some pretty luggage which would be nice for a little holiday my OH and I are having at the end of June. Has anyone seen any of it in store? Is it in all stores/just extras/just direct?

Planning a short trip to Birmingham soon - are there any good vouchers to be found in the stores in this area?

    Tia

Hi tiamaria, I took a little trip to B'ham in April. I was limited by public transport and looking at the tesco store locator had the choice of 2 which were not expresses or metros, in opposite directions. As I was going to Perry Barr campus, I went for the New Oscott Extra which is a 10 min bus ride from the Uni. Glad I went, they had a little (although 'gaurded' by a shelf stacker)
coupon corner by the make up with piles of H+B leaflets and also had the yellow clothes leaflets upstairs in the clothing section. btw, the clothes section is much bigger than in the 3 extras I shop in, but unfortunately I didnt test the water by doing any shopping there, so cant comment on there policy on coupon acceptance. HTH!

Well have just returned from my tesco shop and my lovely meal out. Wish the tesco shop went as well as the meal. I spent just over £60 on clothes and a few other food bits, it was packed and all the tills were manned, Neither of my happy scanners were on so picked a nice young lad, but when I gave him the coupons, "oh no he said I've got no idea will have to get supervisor" I said if you just scan them the till will decide, too late up comes supervisor. He goed through them, he says I can use blue £10 and new £10, thats it not even the kids clothing one. I really wnated to say but its my birthday. But sod it I thought, I'll be returning them straight back tomorrow!
Never mind I'll get over it. Damn annoyd though.

disastorous (sp) shop today! met a lovely MSEr - can't remember what you said your name was!! - who saw my family buying clothing, and told us to make sure we got vouchers from the front. said thanks, and when she whispered, you can probably use them all together, i had to quietly ask if she was a moneysaver! We had a good secret little laugh and bless her, we did a little coupon swapping and she recommended an SA who is good..... but turned out not to be! Took only my £10 off £50, £4 she gave me and a £6 get active..... NONE of my M book tokens or even the tesco whole food ones!
He called supervisor over to check and as hadn't bought the things, she said i coudn't use them. Was gutted as first time i have taken DH Tesco'ing (and last time!) and he was so embarrassed we argued all the way home.PLUS i've now got to go and exchange half of the clothes bought....aargh!!!

I do like to hear other members failures although always dissapointed for you. As sometimes I feel alone, but then encouraged to carry on like you all do.

Thanks for the mention Leadhead, but if anyone had been with me today it would have put them right off. You, Welshy & everyones posts are so useful & taken me to different heights. Just wish I could have achieved it today.

    *K*

I went out again tonight, managed ok on first one, usual £70, £16hb, £16hc....although he called supervisor, but stopped her before she got to till.

Second one...just left them, got supervisor to apologise to me,.....this guy had allowed DD2 a clothes shop 2 hours earlier...........I tell you....its an eyelash thing...lol

I think we all need a break...I'm sure you'll bounce back, I went out tonight specifically as I didnt want to end on a failure, but although got one success, still failed on other one........................

Friend just phoned from Merseyside £200+ down to £70(but including £60 electrical item)

My proteges are doing better than me..................

Got half a success text from another friend, hopefully rest will come later...
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

fully understood how u feel, had exactly same experience before and it was not nice. it takes a looooonnnng time for OH to relax again and to chat with SAs without wearing a guilty mask, and he agreed the set backs are worth it considered the gain we have. never give up, tomorrow is another day, this is good training for confidence...and maths :rotfl:

i have little set back today too but it was down to my luck/confidence.
good luck for us both, lets do it again tomorrow and let us know how it gets on.

I had a fantastic shop, my first time on clothes, thanks to doing some swaps on paidtoshop, managed to get £37 worth of clothes for £12, I know not as good as most of you, but I had limited vouchers and limited experience, so I was pleased with my first try.

Thanks for all the advice on here.

Thanks Isabellexx for your post, if I get the chance I will have a look in that store, need some vouchers.

BTW Do the new ones look like the sheets of yellow ones only in 3 different colours on one sheet?
