There's been a bit of this around lately, one of my total failures the other day was "self inflicted", and a HC shop earlier saw me pay £4 extra for not reaching my £16.......kronen reported earlier of something similar....we must be walking around dreaming of other things!!

    I need to keep focussed......!!

Its not too bad when they're self inflicted, at least you know that your favourite people havent changed their minds. and you can possibly go back later and succeed.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

It depends what other vouchers you have.....

As already posted can only use the £5 if buying kids clothes. But if you spend £50 you can use the £10 and £7 together, but it might be worthwile going above the £50 depending on your other coupons and there limits. But if you spent £70 you could use 2 £7 coupons aswell as the £50.

Thanks that much more sense to me now.

I use 3-4 coupons in one shopping trip in Tescos. Made the mistake of being "scanning coupon mad" twice and had to wait for sa to ok the sale. I only use them when i am using the self scan till.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi never really took much notice of these vouchers what am i missing out on how do you get nearly free clothes??

You buy clothes of a certain value with other shopping (to disguise how much you get off the clothes)and combine the money off vouchers Tesco give out in store with any other till slits or whetever.
Then if they don't take the vouchers take some of the clothes back next day.

good luck for us both, lets do it again tomorrow and let us know how it gets on.:)

well, i had to end the day on a positivenote, stupid i know but i was really upset about it, even though I know it's all a bonus to be saving so much money! Think i was more embarassed about it not working in front of my DH as I've been going on about tesco and coupons for so long... ANYWAY, went to another store and boom bang a bang... little lad (bless him!) took all the coupons i have him! Sod's law, i only picked up a few things as a trial and only a small store so closed at 9pm, but at least i tried and saved something!

So the message, is Don't Give Up! By the looks of it, they are tightening up, but hopefully, something else will come along soon courtesy of Mr T!

BTW, also did a trial in Asda and the young lad took my DM book token straight away, and before i could put my second lot of stuff thru, ended his shift and his replacement wouldn't take any coupons unless item bought....everyone does it their own way and it is trial & error....

disastorous (sp) shop today! met a lovely MSEr - can't remember what you said your name was!! - who saw my family buying clothing, and told us to make sure we got vouchers from the front. said thanks, and when she whispered, you can probably use them all together, i had to quietly ask if she was a moneysaver! We had a good secret little laugh and bless her, we did a little coupon swapping and she recommended an SA who is good..... but turned out not to be! Took only my £10 off £50, £4 she gave me and a £6 get active..... NONE of my M book tokens or even the tesco whole food ones!
He called supervisor over to check and as hadn't bought the things, she said i coudn't use them. Was gutted as first time i have taken DH Tesco'ing (and last time!) and he was so embarrassed we argued all the way home.PLUS i've now got to go and exchange half of the clothes bought....aargh!!!

    Hi plzhelpmesave!!!!!!
    It was meeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I also had a disastrous shopping yesterday..... my normally very trusted SA would not take the voucher you gave! In the past he would have allowed 4 r 5 of those. I think our tesco is clamping down at the mo.! As I was with my dd1 she pile my trolley with clothes but the 10 quid one did not go through, managed to use 7, 6, 6 , 5 (staff one from a friend). Unfortunately one of the items I bought had a tag for 4 quid but in the till appear 2 quid. Went to CS and apparently I spend only 49.50. the SA did not give me the tenner. My dd1 had gone to car to pack up and we were in a hurry so ill have to go back today to return the stuff and start again. I did managed to use the whole nut voucher.

I am sorry. plzhelpmesave... have you had anymre luck in other local tescos... I am feeling that they all are trying to clamp down vouchers.

What is the deal with the ski voucher?

im paranoid about my stuff not adding up correctly, so i drive my dad and my best mate mad, by adding stuff up on my calc on my phone ;) AND checking the prices on clothes havent gone down on the self scan ;) that way my tokens always go trough :) x
