So, does Leadhead only want to use PTS for swaps? I notice you hardly post on there Leadhead - that's probably why you don't notice any 'crack.'

This baffles me......I didnt recognise your name, so checked your previous posts..........and this is the first post youve made on any coupon thread THIS YEAR.................This used to happen to me on the RandR thread, people seemed to crawl out of the woodwork to criticise

Oh well, each to their own

Thanks leadhead, I think I'll get my H&B today with my food shop and want to stock up on some plasters and use healthcare vouchers too. So a bigger shop will disguise all that, then tomorrow go do my clothes shop with just a little food too.
Thanks guys, everyones so helpful on here.

    Hi Sandi,
I think you would need to aim for spending in one transaction, £25+ on kids clothes plus £35+ on adults clothes, hats, sunglasses, handbags etc (any). The blue menswear one works on any adult clothing I believe, and the yellow £7 one is for any adult clothing.

Then you would need to add some normal groceries to absorb your voucher-use, otherwise all those vouchers will take £50 off your £60 bill and theare more likely to be refused, or a supervisor called!

I think ALL your vouchers would work at the till against that transaction, but pick your till-op carefully (don't pay at the clothing desk IMHO). If you don't know the till ops, just avoid any sensible/miserable/vaguely-intelligent-looking women, particularly if they are over 30, as they are most likely to refuse mixed vouchers. Perhaps go in the evening or at the weekend and find a spotty youth or chatty young girl.

But there's no guarantee, last week the lad I chose had been told not to take more than one yellow one together (which is silly as the £5 kidswear could be used legitimately with the £7 adultswear as they are different things!). But he happily took one of each colour (blue, red, green and yellow in varying amounts).

    Sorry q-l......dont like the attitude...........

There was a load more written here, but to be honest I cant be bothered................

    Hi Leadhead

No this post wasn't meant as you had originally read it, sorry if it came across like that.

I like others have read comments on your shopping trips and what you manage to acheive, I myself do find it nerve wrecking at times and I only do one big shop a week and disguise all my H&B, clothing in that.

When I do smaller shops I don't use many vouchers as I feel uncomfortable handing them over for not very many items?? if you see what I mean, I was just asking how you 'pad' out with other stuff.

Just asking for some friendly advice really.

i think quick learner meant it as a compliment well thats certainly the way i read it, you do come across as an expert as you never seem to get knocked back etc and i actually thought you were a mod until i was told otherwise. No offence meant to anyone im just trying to say that i dont think q-l meant any offence either..... :)

anyway to keep it tesco related - i got £85 worth of shopping for £14 this morning and £124 worth of clothes, h&b etc down to £47 (£28 was for stuff bought for ds who gave me the money when i got home) after vouchers tonight so all in all a good day!! :T :T

    Hi NEgirl

    Thanks,

What a successful shop, I only wish I had a bit more courage with my vouchers!!!
