You certainly can......I did it half a dozen times or so in Feb, and at 3 or 4 different stores, some dont particularly like it, and it may be at the managers discretion, but i was never refused...........and i'm talking about £60 to £80 worth at a time.

I have to agree, if you try to take clothing back to a store that doesn't stock them I would fully expect a refusal, I have experienced this myself. Also with smaller stores not wanting to take back an item bought from an Extra, that they themselves don't stock.

But if the OP checks on the storefinder it's fairly easy to locate stores with clothing, most areas have several within driving distance (not local as such but needs must if you want to return stuff).

P.S. Quick answer to Sandi, just check the vouchers for spending requirements and ensure your transaction fits all the t&cs (except the bit about using one voucher per transaction...). I think you sould get another Get Active £6, then spend £60+ and use 2 of those, and then all the yellow ones too if you've ensured your £60+ includes £25 of kidswear and £35 of adults stuff (sunglasses & bags count too).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have never used the £5 kids clothing coupons, it may be rejected if not used correctly........if you did not intending buying kids clothes , i wouldnt try it.

If you only have one of each, then spend£50 (£10, £7,£5kids (if you include £25 kids) and one £6.

If you have at least 2 x£6 active, then spend £60, use as above + another £6.

This maybe safer than the £50 spend if you intend buying kids clothes, as the £7 states it is for men and womens clothes(not kids)....the £10 being any clothing.

    If you have at least 2 x£7 , then spend £70, use £10, 2x£7, 2x£6

You really need either the £6 quit, £6 yellow or a set of blue to have a good buy.

Remember though it all depends on whether the SA will accept them.

It must(as i said) be up to the manager to make that policy then, but I KNOW they take them back, and my pals also did this a few times in another part of the country.

On one occassion my pal said, the CS threw them to the floor, after expressing that they would just be binned.......but they took them.

I'm sure someone could ring HO to ask this question.

But regardless of HO's answer, I KNOW they did this in February

    Hi

I do have a few experiance on this...
I tried to return a CD at a smaller Tesco and this was refused as they only have a smaller section and do not stock that particular CD. Happened with books as well - the same excuse!
When they say, they can't take back ites that the particular store do not sell, what do you say to them?? It is kind of understandable, isn't it??

Hello everyone! Right where do I start? I have been reading about everyone's success with clothing vouchers so I decided to give it a go over the weekend. I had a set of blue and the new yellow vouchers. Total clothing shop was $93 (pound sign not working) and used $50 ended up paying $43. I was pleased with myself however, in my rush and nervousness I picked up the wrong sizes. I went back to exchange and could not find the right size so asked for a refund and showed my receipt at cs. The woman looked unhappy whilst looking at the receipt and went off without even saying where she was going. I stood there like an idiot with my toddler throwing tantrums and a massive queue behind me tutting away at cs. She came back and went off again for another 10/15 minutes and eventually returned with an angry looking supervisor and accused me off fraud for using vouchers! Some of my vouchers were returned and the clothes were kept by cs and no refund! I was shocked/embarrassed to say the least and just walked off disappointed with the way the supervisor/cs handled the situation. Surely, Mr T is inticing everyone with vouchers and its not a crime for crying out loud since I went through the checkout and the tills accepted the vouchers! It was not like as if I went through self scan and scanned the vouchers myself.Furthermore, my receipt was marked as $59 worth of coupon use!
Any advice from experienced coupon users welcome......should I write to cs about the way I was treated? Or leave it and move on? I would never be able to go back to the same store again as I feel embarrased and also feel sorry for the guy at the checkout hope he didn't get into trouble over this.

What an awful experience,:o I'm glad I didn't read your post before returning some items today! I did a similar shop to you £94 - £58 coupons and there was no trouble at all returning 2 items costing £27 which didn't fit my family.

I hope it doesn't put you off trying again as in the majority of cases there are no problems.

that was totally humiliating, it really affects confidence if the experience was too traumatised. OH was also publicly embarrassed once and now refused to do any clothing shop on his own, the best he would do is mini shop with no more than 3-4 coupons at a time, padded with other daily items. poor him.

i found it more and more difficult to find nice clothes after a few shops, seemed to have all the suitable ones already, even OH began to buy plain white tshirts because nothing catches his eyes anymore. maybe starts to get things like pyjamas, underwear, socks...

can we use coupons on shoes? slippers?
