i think quick learner meant it as a compliment well thats certainly the way i read it, you do come across as an expert as you never seem to get knocked back etc and i actually thought you were a mod until i was told otherwise. No offence meant to anyone im just trying to say that i dont think q-l meant any offence either..... :)

anyway to keep it tesco related - i got £85 worth of shopping for £14 this morning and £124 worth of clothes, h&b etc down to £47 (£28 was for stuff bought for ds who gave me the money when i got home) after vouchers tonight so all in all a good day!! :T :T

Thanks, unfortunately i have a habit(bad at times) of speaking what I think and calling a spade a spade.

Its hard at times to express what you mean in a single PM or post, with out someone taking it the wrong way...........l-q and i have "clashed" before through this.....I dont use these smiley things so, tbh, dont read them into a post, so must admit i sometimes miss the subtleties or hidden meanings in peoples posts.

Because i can work out the maths, watch the tills and know their capabilities, therefore know what can be used, my only problem when "couponing" is finding the correct SA.

Ive failed a few times, but on one occassion when she said 50%, she got confused and scanned a lot more, the other day i got charged £30 after 4 coupons were refused(on a £110 spend)........I try to use the same SA in each store all the time, part of the "crack" being, when do you finish, are you full time, its going to be sunny next week., when are you in .....its all part of the challenge.

I only try to give the facts as they have happenned to me, I know what i'm talking about, because it has happened to me......Sorry if this sounds bigheaded....its not meant...................i try not to speculate or give opinons, unless asked.

Ive had managers ban me from stores for spite.....just because they could.

RandRing was never as easy as this, and this is much more profitable.

Ive just re-read this and am reluctant to press the submit button...........oh what the hell!!!
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Does anything not want to use the same SA? I often think are they going to talk about me in the canteen 'here comes that coupon bloke', etc, etc. So half of me wants to keep a low profile, the other half want to play the game (with the same SA) and win!!!

Thats an awful lot of coupons..........sorry cant workout every permutation....

    On a £70 clothes spend(any clothes)...(the £70 allows 2 x£7)

    £10 yellow,£10 blue, 2 x£7 yellow,all your 3 x£6 blue, 2 £6 get active....youve got no £6 quit or £6 yellow??

No matter how you use your 3 £10 blue, youre going to get £10 off for them so it shouldnt matter when you use them

Always make sure the £10 blue goes through first....its failed for me a few times when it didnt go through first...although on a couple of occassions i (cheekily) got it refunded at CS.........again though...know your CS

Ive never bought kids clothes/used £5 yellow/£4 blue

Again as always its SA dependant......... but in Feb my OH and I found over 12 wonderful SA's in one day

If you add toilteries to the ones you are going to be short on...its easily possible to use £30 worth on a £12 spend.

Go with what you know, is my motto.......I used the same SA 6 times in 2 days, he commented, but i just said, at these prices my daughters would spend their wages.

Hes forgotton that now(see's so many people)....but still use him if he's on.

Wonder if any of you can help, I want to do a big clothes shop this week, probably looking to spend about £60, I've got quite a few different vouchers, but don't mind paying about half anyway. Prob is do you get the clothes with your other shopping or do you just buy clothes? If I just buy the clothes upstairs in the clothing dept I think they'll refuse lots of vouchers as usually snooty old women. But at main tills usually they accept everything. Basically I don't wanna do my big food shop tomorrow (which I want to get lots of H&B too) and hand of s*** loads of vouchers as I'd die if I got refused! Thanks in advance.

Ive never bought clothes in the clothing department, you may be lucky and get an inexperienced trainee who will accept your coupons, but more likely or not(imho) you will get refused, because they know what is, and what is not acceptable..............I know this from returning stuff, its far easier taking stuff back to CS rather than a clothes desk......in fact its even easier taking it back to a non clothes store.

If only doing a clothes(no HandB) i (depending on how many coupons) only pad the bill out by a fiver or so......

I know each time i shop, the value of the coupons i am handing in, so know exactly how much to spend...of course it can go horribly wrong if the SA has a % policy.

If you are quite happy to pay 50% then you dont(shouldnt) have a problem, as Ive never encountered an SA that has said anything less than 50%.
