Sun is back today but not sure for how long! Postie was early but not brought anything worth reading!

Zombie, hope you manage to get out to get shopping. Xx its awful watching the floods nearby. Did you see the flats in Newcastle where the foundations washed away? They're left with a big hole around the flats, very dangerous.

Sylvia, my DD is the same....she won't have the school coats so most of the kids go to school with no coat as they're not allowed in gates with any other coats! Its a bit silly if you ask me, I'm all for the uniforms but not the coats!

Becks, that's a lovely verse I expect morrisons will be busy this week as they're giving a fiver off £40 spend at the till.

Sue...that is a big loaf! :eek: I'm sure my son could eat that with a bowl of fire**flys soup in no time!

Wingo is that the vouchers you get at the till? Its all a con really. You spend £40 or more get a voucher for £5 iff your next £40 shop (which has to be before 14th august)

Why is it a con if you get your shopping there anyway? Ive seen the same in Tesco too. You spend so much one week, get a voucher off for the following week. I'll be using it.

I did see those flats, its a lot worse up towards Newcastle than it is for me (North Yorks/County Durham border). I was wondering this morning what do you do with your pets if you have to be evacuated? Can you take dogs with you? Our cat would be fine as we would move his food and litter tray upstairs, but I wouldnt have the foggiest what to do with our dog.

Because issuing the vouchers at the till is random. No one officially knows about it until they have paid for their shopping. The machines that print them don't always work and two customers in a row who spend similar amounts one may get and one may not as we have no control of what gets printed out

IF I get one I will keep quiet so another customer who doesnt get one gives any uncalled for grief to the checkout person then. I go to Morrisons anyway (unless I particularly want something from Tesco) so if I get one it will be a bonus for next week, if not then it doesn't really matter, its only £5. Doesnt make that much difference to my £120+ weekly shopping :rotfl:

afternoon all - from a very sunny somerset, had yet another blood test this morning - hopefully the last for a while - after a poor start september comping is going OK - had a really cool skittle t-shirt in the post & after problems with t'internet logged onto email to find I had won afternoon tea at the dorchester with Jackie Collins - however transport to London is so expensive at short notice so can't go - hope I get a copy of the book though - being very nice I asked them to pass it on to someone else - it then occurred to me that I should have asked if anyone wanted to come who cold drive us there - ah well.

Hi ZonbieS - what to do with the dogs if you get evacuated is a no-brainer for me - take me - take my dogs - wouldn't leave without them.



I'm mad I know but they are part of our family.



Don't mind sharing the bed with them but not the loo!
