Morning all,

Hope everyone is OK and safe from the floods. We are fine here thank goodness. That horrid salty foam was at Aberdeen Wingo. DS2 was just back from there but back to the Borders which has also had it bad. He is fine though.
Got loads to do today - going to recycling centre and weekly shop at nearby town and going to have a walk and a picnic too I think.

Melvis, didn't realise it was so bad in Billingham, sister lives in Hartlepool and thought it was OK there, have things got worse? Hope Mr Melvis gets home OK and that you manage to get to work.

What is it with kids these days, DGK1 came to ours from school yesterday, it was tipping in down with rain and all she had on was a short, short skirt etc and blazer, she was soaked. She has a coat (a Superdry coat at that) and wont wear it because its last years and hanging out hoping for a new one. Maybe I am just getting old, we had to wear whatever was handed down from family! Sorry to rant.

Well the kids have gone to school today :j so thats 2 less mouths to feed which is good as we are running out of food and really need to get to a shop, but we can't get anywhere just yet. DH thinks I was joking, but I was half being serious when I suggested I should walk the 9 miles to the nearest shop and 9 miles back. Would only take me a day wouldn't it :rotfl:We can find food for us and we have enough for tea so we should be ok, just hope we can get somewhere tomorrow. Its sunny ATM so Im hoping that the weatherman was wrong this morning and its going to stay dry so all the water goes away so we can finally get somewhere tomorrow. Would be ok if I could afford a new car as I would get something that would be ok in the floods, but Im worried about ruining my car.

Hope you're ok Melvis. Its bad in the North East isn't it.

Sheils, I find exactly the same with the dailies. Currently I have 2 Im entering on Pick me up, but 11 on womans own :eek: so lots of shares there everyday.

I dont know if Im to expect post or not today. I knew they weren't coming yesterday as my friend told me, but I dont want to ask today as she will be at work delivering all the mail right now. Oh well we either get post or we dont.

Im off to Egypt a week today so hope to win a fair bit before then otherwise its a 2 week break from comping!

Good Morning all from a soggy Kent. It's rained most of the night here, but at least we aren't flooded, really sorry for those who are.

Off to see Dad in a minute so won't be around for a while.
