Blackberry Playbook 64GB - £129!!

I've had a playbook for about 6 months and it's great. It's very straightforward to use, the quality of media playback is fantastic, browsing is sleek and easy, it easily handles multi-tasking and Bridge is great for people who already have BB phones. I've had a go on my friend's ipad and Nexus and for my needs the PB wins hands down.0

This looks a fab deal for 14 year old DD who loves her BB and spends her life on it! But just wondered, would the acer netbook on offer in Sainsbobs be better? Afraid I know very little about tech stuff but I do know she mainly watches music vids, goes on fb or twitter or shops! Never downloaded a film so don't think that matters.

I think the Playbook would be a better option, but it all depends on what you want to do with it.0

I purchased one of these this morning from my local Currys store, the product box was not sealed and was slightly damaged. Upon checking the product further I have noticed that the left side of the screen is brighter than the right side regardless if the unit is set to full brightness or not. Could someone advise if theres is the same as this or not?
Currys informed me that they are not responsible for the warranty of the item and that its solely the manufactures responsibility I always thought that the trader / shop where goods were purchased from were liable for the warranty within the first year please correct me if I'm wrong.0 -
After reading these posts all week and dithering, I bought a playbook from my local Currys this morning. It's for my 13 year old DD for Christmas and I'm hoping she'll love it! It's the earliest I've ever bought a 'main' present for Christmas, but thought it was too good a bargain to miss. Bought the 3 year guarantee, so it cost £160 ( he took £2 off to make it a 'nice round figure')0

I have set up my playbook, its great I am very pleased with it. Browsing is fast, and the picture quality is brill.
Can anyone help me with where online to buy or rent films that I can put on my playbook to watch later?
I dont want to download illegally, and I dont have any dvd's that I can use. This is the only problem I am having. Thanks£100 - £10,0000 -

Hope that helps.
This has been mentioned earlier on in the thread - see posts #82 onwards. It's not a lot cheaper delivered (c £128) and you do risk the awful customer service of pixmania.
Several posts about this after post #82 - they're all on this page of this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/55477091#Comment_55477091
Edited to add: Is that a referral link you're using Fergie? The ordinary link to the pixmania site is http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/9987970/art/blackberry/p100-64wf-playbook-tablet.html - and yours has a suspicious-looking "srcid=369" on the end!! I'll mention it to the mods, just in case...0 -
My local cash and carry (EH postcode) has them listed at £99.99 + VAT (£119.99) and claim on their Facebook page to be the cheapest in the UK.
Might be worth checking if you have this kind of outlet locally.0 -
