I left neg feedback this morning along th elines of 'slow delivery, used different service, overcharged, very rude comms, awful' it's been removed?! I've had no messages about it but it's gone. I gove up with ebay? surely if she reported me and they looked at the message thread they could see how rude she was and that she admitted the real cost of the postage , how can they remove it?0

no , i don;t make a habit of leaving negs , can't remember the last one i left.
I've been on touch with ebay on the online chat thing and apparently it's been removed due to feedback extortion?!
They won't give me any more info , thats it.0 -

It was just a thought, because it's easier to get a neg removed if it's from someone who eBay customer service can see is a bit "neg happy". So that's unfortunate. You must have been fairly explicit in one of your messages to the tune of "refund or I'll give you a neg" because it's pretty hard to get feedback removed for feedback extortion. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
thing is according to the person i spoke with online , they have no access to our messages dues to privacy etc. so she could copy and paste anything and add to it as they don;t check it against my messages? i said i am giving you permission to look at the message thread but they said they couldn't. I copy and pasted some of the things she said to mme but it's now irrelavant as they've made their decison based her one message to them , without them checking messages or contacting me?! crazy.
The only think I said , which could easily be taken out of conext with a bit of copy and pasting was at the end of the conersation when she told me to stop moaning and grow up. i said "that's fine if that's how your happy to conduct your account but i wanted to give you chance to be fair and explain the overcharge before i leave my feedback" which seems fair enough to me?0 -
did you speak to the Ireland call centre, it's said to be better.
I would ring back, as I though the whole point of using the ebay mail system and not emailing outside of ebay was because they could see what was said.0 -
this will be neg for me also0

Some have said a neg is too harsh in this instance. I disagree.
Seller has been extremely rude (customer service and seller attitude is part of your Ebay buying experience) and if the item had arrived obviously very thoughtfully, carefully, sturdily packaged, that might have justified the postage costs a bit more. Give her a neg, might teach her to sell better!
Whoops, sorry, just read rest of thread and see you did that and it was removed.
'Due to f/back extortion' - hmmmm, the only way that could have happened, I think, is if she'd said you'd threatened her with bad f/back unless ..da da da whatever... That one person/customer service agent believed her and acted on that. Like with everything, it really does depend 'who you get' in terms of customer service. Shame they've cut the matter dead like that without even listening to you.
I'm really going off Ebay myself at the moment, I've used it mostly for buying but some occasional selling. Fine in general but recently I've come across some real oddballs when I've sold, people who bid and then never pay, or ask for BINs but don't offer a price and want summat for nowt, finding it just not worth the hassle.*Look for advice, not 'advise'*
*Could/should/would HAVE please!*
