the amount of tax he pays really he isnt living on the gov lol.
Actually you, your boyfriend & your children are all living on the gov (lol) & off the tax payer.
Funny how many "single mothers" continue to have children isn't it................0 -
That's another example of inconsistencies in the OP's posts.
I don't know if she is not expressing herself that well when posting or if she is changing her story as she goes along.
Either way, I think she will have a hard time at her interview under caution.
And people here suggesting she gets her "story" straight are assisting her benefit fraud.0 -
As I've said before, she'll need to go in and be totally honest. IF he's living there as a lodger, he's the one who gets all the benefit of this arrangement, she's the one committing fraud. Even if he is just lodging there, he still needs to pay his way.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

I see from OPs other post back in April, they were looking for a loan as they were going on holiday to New York in July!0

That would be April and July 2011!
But yes, I noticed that thread and found some interesting but perhaps explainable things. One of which was that the OP already had her two children mentioned in the first post. Exceptionally delayed post-natal depression then? Ok it happens. Just very unlucky that it happened to the OP since they were already struggling with money depite both working and having a bad credit record having defaulted on a car loan and wanting £2-3000 for sepnding money on a family holiday.
Hmmm... Just can't decide. But I do note that April last year and August this year are school holidays.0 -

The Dwp makes a deduction to CTB/HB etc. if somebody is living with as I guess they assume the person is contributing (or should be) to the household.
Also I think they ask if somebody is paying bills for you too.0 -

Or am I the stupid one and all this sort of carry on actually does go on in real life .....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Certainly reads like it's been written by some dumb 12 year old with nothing better to do.

Unfortunately I think it does actually go on in real life... depending of course on what you think is going on in real life! Yes people can fall foul of benefit regulations and make mistakes. And yes, they can also deliberately work the system thinking they will never get caught.
Personally I have struggled throughout this thread to believe anyone is stupid enough to allow their former partner to live with them for eight months entirely without any costs or contributions to the household or their children - especially since I did read the other thread right back at the beginning of this thread, and "money awareness" didn't seem to be an issue then, although budgetting and ability to live within their means was. So yes, I did wonder...0 -
I think we all wondered, but hopefully the advice given will help anyone who's daft enough to find themselves in this position.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

I suspect it'll be a short list of peopleI can get how couples may be unable to afford to maintain separate homes, especially if they are home owners, but I am struggling to see how most of them would think they shouldn't mention it to the benefits office(s) or that most women don't think their partner should pay their way on the bills or the maintenance.
