My Microsoft Money has stopped getting prices online

There can't be much wrong as funds update and shares don't. So, GB0033031260 (Invesco Perp Income) works but HICL or GB00B0T4LH64 doesn't. MSN might just need to put a shilling in the meter.0

The trouble is, what Microsoft have done is squirt superglue into the meter - extraordinary, baffling and incomprehensible, but true.
Hippo0 - thanks for your help. I've spent too much time getting it to work, so am back to my original Plan B.....0 -
I used to have the same trouble, no updates online for my share holdings, I got an upgrade for Money that changed the set-up slightly but it did allow updates.
I am used to the new version that I have now, there are still a few points that I wish had not changed but it works and that is the main thing.
I got directed to the upgrade from a thread on here but for the life of me, I can't find it now
The upgrade is called Money-2005-UK-QFE2.exe it is a self extracting programme and it automatically wrote into the folder that I used for Money and all my existing details were saved (I saved them anyway)
I'm sure that a google search will find it but I can send an attached copy if there is any difficulty.(28,240KB)0 -

That is the version of Money that I and others are using. The problem is that it stopped updating share prices last Tuesday. Have you looked at it this week? Is yours still updating prices automatically? Note that it may say it's updated, but the only way to see if it really has is to look at the current prices in Money and then check whether these are correct and up to date by looking on one of the finance sites on the web. Note also that several people have commented that it seems to be updating fund prices but not share prices.0 -

I seldom actually check the share prices, it currently says 'last updated 6/7/13 12:19'
I checked the prices online and they are about 5 pence different from the figures given in Money (Money being lower in all cases).0 -
Sorry, I did not read the whole thread

I suspect that yours isn't updating then. If you've got it set to auto update, it will tell you when it last did this. Mine also says it updated today, even though I have turned auto updates off. However, I know for a fact that it hasn't updated at all since last Monday evening -the prices are correct as of that date and time.

I have the same problem. I have set up my portfolio in Google Finance by importing my holdings from a file generated by my Brokers web site. I have set up a new account in Money for those more obscure holdings that Google cannot find and then included the Google listed holdings as one single investment.
I can then look at continual movements on Google and once a day I update the account in Money with the Google prices and the other obscure holdings. By marking the old investment account as closed it disappears from the lists but remains available for historical enquiries.
Job Done!!

Like so many others, I purchased Microsoft Money2002 and when it refused to update, your contributors suggested downloading Money 2005 and bingo, it has been updating ever since until 1st July. Since then Funds are updating but not Shares. This glitch is therefore dissimilar to the earlier one when there was no feedback at all.
My broker does not provide daily price changes and I rely on Money as a back-up service which gives easily accessible price changes and graphical data.
Silly question but is there an e-mail or phone number for Microsoft which will provide guidance?0 -

No, it's a discontinued product so Microsoft say "On Jan 31, 2011 all online services and assisted support for all versions of Money end." on this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/21180080 -
Like others I have found Microsoft Money has stopped updating shares on the 1st July. I have used the java script solution using ft.com to update prices. I find the update records as a buy on the graphic which is a little distracting. Also I am finding it is doing something peculiar to $ investment values. Any ideas.0
