    Bit sexist, don't you think?

Find it hard to believe seriously that all 3 had so low a top on on the same day!

Please, please re-read my WHOLE post and don't quote little bits out of context. If you do that you'll see I was actually talking about expecting people to dress appropriately for their job regardless of gender.
I am a woman by the way.

I do think you are allowed to wear a low cut top and to be fair we have no idea how low these 3 tops were.

You can still be sexist if you are a woman.

The bottom line is that your son acted immaturely. If he can't deal with the sight of a cleavage, he's an knows what he will be like in the workplace. He only has himself to blame.

I have Aspergers and I struggle with eye contact but I suspect it's more likely that he was simply nervous in a job interview!
I agree, but feel if it's a possibility it's one not to be ignored (if it presents barriers/difficulties in every-day life). Particularly when it comes to difficulty securing a job. It's certainly not something that can be diagnosed by remote, and as the OP is his mother, I'm sure she knows him more than anyone and will see if anything rings bells when reading info.
Wanted a job, now have one.

If I'm being sexist then so was bap98189 in the first place for saying that women should be able to dress the way they want and still be taken professionally. Why not say women and men should be taken professionally however they choose to dress?

We are talking about women in this thread. Would you prefer it if I said "people who identify as male, female, intersex, transgender, non-binary, or any other gender assignment"?

Not necessarily, there's really no need to get carried away but I was accused of being sexist, when I wasn't being so I was just pointing out that you could equally be accused of being sexist, even though I'm sure you, like me, had no intention of being sexist.
  • Those women should be ashamed, dressing like that for work interviews. I recall a friends son saying that he didn't know where to look when he started high school because of the trollopes in short skirts, this is where it starts and it's disgusting, they should button up

saying that women should wear appropriate lead to that. What is appropriate? I don't think they were all in bikinis or something. It was only all 3 tops that were low. Hard to believe really

Yeah - they let women work in IT these days! :)

Especially if they wear low cut tops. Probably how they got the jobs in the first place. ;)

OP, tell your son to practice eye contact at interviews. He should walk in looking confident, but not cocky. Make eye contact with interviewer and smile when he introduces himself. A lot of people forget to smile due to nerves or whatever and it looks really bad.
