I made a complaint to Asda previously, I found a hair in one of there ready meal cottage pie meals. If I remember correctly, they offered me £10, but as I knew a supervisor that works at Tesco, I was recommended to turn the voucher down and threaten to take it further. I then got offered a £20 voucher.

In your case, I would personally find it a lot more disturbing to find a used plaster, due to passing on diseases, so defiantly refuse there offer and complain further.
