Are these rates correct, thought it would have been a bigger saver than that less that £30 over 12 months for me (less than £2.5 per month).0

sp was sneaky with me. They quietly put me on saver 2, saying that the old saver had closed and that this would be the next cheapest. I rang back after reading this thread and am now on the list to be changed to saver 3. Thank you all
Sounds interesting.......I was on Original but 2 came out so requested to be moved to that....as the prices were the same but the discount was the different.....15 quid on Original and 60 quid on Online 2.
I note that in Online 3 - the discount is now 15 quid per year.
Something not right there......give with one hand - take with the other.....What should I put in here that won't upset people.........0 -
You need to look at the price per Kwh for gas. Whilst the annual discount seems less, the price reduction makes up for it. For area 18, for instance it drops from 2.497p to 1.789p per Kwh ex VAT . For instance, I reckon my annual duel fuel bill decreases by nearly £65 if I swop from saver 2 to saver 3.0

I'm on the original Online Energy but with 'no daily standing charges'.
I note that Online Energy 2 & 3 tariffs only appear to be available with daily standing charges. Does anyone know any different?0 -
Energy Saver 3 does have significantly cheaper gas rates than the earlier energy saver tariffs.
That might make up for any extra you have to pay because of the standing charge. (Standing charge tariffs work out the same as no standing charge for all except very low users - once you use more than 225 kwh of electricity in a quarter then the total cost of consumption is the same whether you have a standing charge or no standing charge tariff)0 -
Check before switching I have just been informed that I'm better of staying on Energy Saver 2 rather than moving to 3. Would save £30 per year on gas with 3 but would lose the £60 per year discount I get with 2.0

Hi, I do not understand how people are getting £60 as discount on online saver 2.
I am on their capped plan till May 2007 and planning to switch now.
First of all, I cannot see online saver 2 on their website but I've been sent prices which match online saver 2 that I've managed to extract the pdf of.
Basically electricity is same but gas prices vary.
The discount I've been sent by mail is:
Annual discount of £15.75
save £78 by paying by direct debit
receive combined gas and electricty discount of £10.50 per year.. (website says £15.75)..
Please explain the £60 discount bit..0 -
I think there is a bit of shifty behaviour again here.
Drop the gas price, just in time for spring/summer when no one uses it and bag a load of new customers, I wonder if they will hike it back up again come autumn !0 -
Hi, I do not understand how people are getting £60 as discount on online saver 2.........................Please explain the £60 discount bit..
The extra £60 a year discount was only available for the online energy saver 2 tariff which is no longer available.
The discount was £5 (+ VAT) for gas and £55 (+ VAT) for electricity, and was credited daily to your account -1.438p (inc VAT) for gas and 15.822p (inc VAT) for electricity.0
