Orange 'Free' Broadband

Just wanted to add my story... don't know if anyone else has added this as there are lot of posts to get thru.
I actually only just found out about my free broadband ending. I received nothing though the post and I was told things had been sent out. I checked they had the correct address and asked they send things again. Nothing arrived and then eventually they told me they couldn't send them again. So I have no info at all. No end date, no options regarding continuing the service. My phone contract runs till next May so I feel I should have the broadband till then as per the terms (they already reneged on the promise to fix my bill at £25/mo). I have emailed them with a complaint and been ignored. I have written and not heard anything. I can't get through on the phone to them either. Whole thing is a big farce.0 -
Emily try the 0800 9801716 number it worked for me, good luck.0

Mauls - it shouldn't be correct but it actually is - I have had many conversations with CICAS in regard to this and it was about mis-selling - Perhaps you would try giving them a call and see if you can get a better result
Then complain to Ofcom. I did. Ofcom have said they have spoken directly to CISAS, and been promised that this 'misunderstanding' has ceased. So I did get a better result.0 -

Did they agree to arbitrate? - Perhaps you may like to share? - in that way it could be useful to others to know the benefit of your outcome
But in actual fact - no one now needs to advance to arbitration as Orange are honouring free BB until the end of contracts - it was at the very early stages in this process when Orange had said outright free BB had been irrefutably withdrawn and hence we had to issue legal proceeding to get any result ........
The fact that Orange fund every case going to arbitration speaks for itself.
I completed my own case on 3rd October as did others, Nobby, Nick Gadgetmaster to name a few who stayed on to help others - so maybe its time to move on - Good Luck to all :beer:0 -

In all my years (and thats a few) I have never been so Angry with a company as I have with ORANGE/EE - the future is most certainly not ORANGE.
This should be one of their New packages to compliment, the ANIMAL RANGE:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
There are a few on this site, but they are so obvious, its hilarious!!!!
YOU MUST PHONE OFCOM TO GET A REFERENCE NUMBER THIS IS VITAL TO EACH AND EVERY CASE. ORANGE MUST NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS VULGAR PRACTICE. THEY ARE AT THE END OF THE DAY RELIANT ON OUR BUSINESS.
Just love this little fella;)0 -
Thanks am now reinstated free till end of my mobile contract next year! Hopefully I can reclaim the cost of calling the 0800 number from my mobile too, given I can't get through on 150.
Did a quick bit of internet searching and found an old promise by orange to give half price home broadband 'for life'
[seems I'm not allowed topost link... but it's out there]0 -
If anyone has better knowledge, and would like to share, then please do so.
Otherwise we will just have to keep "DIGGING" away with what we have.
Stay with us Eva, we need your staying power. Without you we would still be colliding with the Orange Brick Wall.
Maybe Orange would like to see the back of you. And thereby hangs a tale.

You need to stay with us Eva.:)
On a side note-what would I do without this forum to keep me busy, I may have to go back to working in work:rotfl:
But seriously, we need to keep on because orange have still not given a blanket 'you will keep your BB until the end of the mobile contract', although i somehow doubt they will. More pressure the better i would say.Did they agree to arbitrate? - Perhaps you may like to share? - in that way it could be useful to others to know the benefit of your outcome
